Modern Chinese: As early as 1984, Liangyuan Shenzhen University established the Institute of Chinese Studies, relying on it to carry out the discipline construction of China's philosophy and the study of China's thought and culture. The Ministry of Social Sciences has also carried out long-term work related to the construction of philosophy disciplines around the teaching and research of Marxist philosophy. Scholars of the older generation, such as Professor Tang's research on China's philosophy, Professor Cai's research on philosophy and Professor Yu Qiquan's research on the history of Marxist philosophy, have considerable influence all over the country, and they have laid a good foundation for the development of our school's philosophy. After more than 20 years' accumulation, the philosophy discipline of this school has condensed a group of teachers with professional expertise, reasonable steps and sufficient stamina. For example, Professor Jing Haifeng of China Philosophy, Professor Wang Lixin, Professor Li, Professor Liu Jiaoshou of Marxist Philosophy, Professor Wang Tianwen of Western Philosophy and Ethics, Professor Li Dahua, Professor Wang Hui and Professor Ruan Wei of Religious Studies, and a group of young associate professors and doctors who are proficient in learning have formed a strong academic echelon of philosophy teaching and research, which is a school philosophy discipline.
1994, the school and South China Normal University jointly recruited graduate students majoring in Marxist philosophy. Since 2003, they have independently trained graduate students in Marxist principles. In 2006, China was authorized to obtain a master's degree in philosophy, and began to enroll students in 2007. In 2002, the Department of Philosophy History was established in the College of Liberal Arts, and the systematic teaching experiment of philosophy undergraduate was started. A series of courses, such as China's philosophy, western philosophy and religion, have been offered in all majors of the college, which are selected by students of all majors of the college and also serve as general courses of the whole school, and good results have been achieved. In 2006, the adjusted College of Liberal Arts set up a philosophy department, focusing on systematically offering philosophy courses in teaching, offering literature, history and philosophy in line with liberal arts concepts, and strengthening basic humanistic quality education. In 2009, the College of Arts was officially approved as a philosophy undergraduate major, and enrollment began on 20 10. 20 10 the first master's degree in philosophy was approved, and the second master's degree in religion was added, which has been included in the key support plan of the school.
Shenzhen University is a comprehensive and multidisciplinary undergraduate college. As a discipline, philosophy plays an irreplaceable role in cultivating university spirit and shaping campus cultural character. In addition, according to the requirements of regional social development and cultural construction, Guangdong is a place where modern China meets and ideological trends surge, and it is also connected with Hongkong, the window of contemporary China's reform and opening up. There are many modern philosophical figures in Guangdong who lead the national trend of thought and have been at the forefront of reform and opening up for 30 years. Therefore, in terms of the rich accumulation of Chinese and western philosophical thoughts and the development of contemporary thoughts, Guangdong has unique resource conditions and geographical advantages. By strengthening philosophical research and discipline construction, we can learn from historical experience and serve the cultural construction of contemporary China. The strength of Guangdong's philosophical research, especially the configuration of philosophical disciplines, needs to be strengthened, so as to become a driving force for a strong economic province to move towards a strong cultural province. The establishment of the first-class discipline can enhance regional advantages, highlight local characteristics, give play to regional advantages, and serve the construction of a cultural province in Guangdong.
