In recent years, with the support of the National 863 Program and the Natural Science Foundation, the key technologies and basic theories in the fields of powder forming (including selective laser sintering rapid forming, selective laser melting rapid forming, laser/isostatic pressing composite near-net forming) and rapid development of water-saving products for drip irrigation in ecological agriculture have been systematically studied.

He has long been engaged in teaching and scientific research in the fields of rapid manufacturing and rapid development of agricultural water-saving products. In recent years, he has undertaken 28 major projects such as 863 and presided over the 16 project as the first person in charge;

The achievements reached the international advanced or leading level, and won the national second prize 1 item, the provincial and ministerial first prize 1 item, and three provincial and ministerial second prizes;

Leading the research team won the Innovation Group of Hubei Natural Science Foundation in 2004;

A set of theories and methods for low-cost and rapid development of agricultural water-saving products have been established, and a series of innovative achievements have been achieved and applied.

A complete academic system and system of selective laser sintering rapid prototyping technology has been established, which has been widely used in more than 200 units at home and abroad and achieved remarkable economic and social benefits.

After Germany, China has successfully developed commercial SLM equipment for semiconductor pump and fiber laser, which provides a new manufacturing mode and means for the direct rapid prototyping of complex fine metal parts/molds.

A new idea of combining laser powder rapid prototyping with isostatic pressing technology to manufacture high-performance complex structural parts through near-net-shape forming is proposed.

A new principle of digital design and manufacture of precision injection mold for conformal cooling channel is proposed.

The theory and method of rapid development of water-saving products at low cost have been established and widely used, which has obvious economic and social benefits.

Some theoretical achievements have been published in 14 famous foreign journals, 42 core domestic journals and some important international academic conferences. There are more than 100 papers, and more than 80 papers have been included in the three major indexes. Among them, SCI included 25 articles, EI included 60 articles, ISTP included 7 articles, invited reports and lectures 10 times, and he cited more than 200 articles;

The research results have also been widely used in various monographs and teaching materials, and have been made into science and education films, which have been broadcast on the science and technology channel of CCTV, causing great repercussions in society and being highly praised and recognized by academic colleagues at home and abroad;

Obtained 4 invention patents, 7 utility model patents, accepted invention patents 18 and 2 utility model patents; 3 software registrations; 4 project evaluations; 4. Teaching materials and monographs;

It has played an important role in promoting the development of related disciplines, reaching the international advanced level in this research field academically, and some of them have the international leading level.
