How to improve the quality of primary school music teachers under the new curriculum standard
Music education aims to influence people's aesthetics, outlook on life and values by cultivating people's emotions. Through its educational function, it can enlighten students' revolutionary ideals, cultivate noble sentiments, cultivate good character, develop thinking in images, develop intelligence and promote physical and mental health, which is of great significance for building socialist spiritual civilization and cultivating a new generation with all-round development in morality, intelligence, physique, beauty and labor. (2) The basic role of music education in primary schools Music education in primary schools is the foundation of music education and an important part of art education for primary school students. With the implementation of the new curriculum standards, primary school music teaching has been re-examined and re-interpreted. It is clearly pointed out that music class is one of the main ways to implement aesthetic education, and its core value is aesthetic experience. The object of music education in primary schools is primary school students, and their plasticity is very strong. At this time, good primary school music education will lay a solid foundation for them to have healthy and correct aesthetic taste in the future. Therefore, primary school music education should adhere to the teaching concept of "taking aesthetics as the core" and better penetrate music education into people's lives. (3) The significance of the quality of primary school music teachers to primary school music education under the new curriculum standard. The new curriculum standard is the abbreviation of "National New Curriculum Standard", which conforms to the requirements of the development of the times and puts forward the concept of quality education that adapts to the times, strives to embody the new concepts of curriculum, teaching materials, teaching and learning, and pays attention to cultivating students' innovative spirit and practical ability, aiming at reflecting students' comprehensive quality and meeting the needs of teachers and students at this stage. It is also conducive to promoting the improvement of teachers' professional ability and level, promoting students' active and lively study and promoting students' all-round development, which is a milestone in the transformation from exam-oriented education to quality education. Music education in primary schools is a good opportunity to cultivate students' aesthetic quality. Therefore, music education in primary schools is particularly important. Of course, to do a good job in music education in primary schools, we must also solve other related factors, such as educational environment, educational facilities and teachers' quality, which can be solved step by step with the development of China's economy. Therefore, the quality of primary school music teachers has become the main factor affecting primary school music education. Music teaching in primary schools is the beginning of our music aesthetic systematization. If the first link is not done well, it will inevitably affect the teaching effect of music education in primary schools, and even affect the effect of quality education. Therefore, it is of special significance to pay attention to the quality of primary school music teachers under the new curriculum standards. 2. Investigation and Analysis on the Quality of Music Teachers in Primary Schools In order to solve the above problems, I came to Dianjiang County, Chongqing in mid-June 2007 165438+ 10, and conducted a survey on 50 in-service music teachers in five areas: Guixi, Chengxi, Taiping, Wudong, Jiabao, Heyou, Pingshan, Yantai and Dongjia. The situation is as follows: (1) There are 84 public primary and secondary schools in the county. Among them: 8 ordinary high schools, 4 vocational high schools, 5 ordinary junior high schools, 9-year compulsory education schools 1 1, 62 township central schools and primary schools directly under the county, 24 complete primary schools, village primary schools 134 and special education schools 1. There are 24 full-time music teachers in the county (there are basically no full-time music teachers in primary schools) (Table 2. 1) Serial number option A(%) B(%) C(%) 1 First degree A Normal school B junior college C undergraduate 74 20 6 2 views on teachers' profession A noble B generally C doesn't like 24 68 8 3 further studies (times/year) A No B. Primary school music teachers are not responsible enough. Teachers are the most glorious profession under the sun. Our people's teachers should have noble professional ethics, do everything for students, do their best to educate them into useful people, and have the spirit of self-dedication to burn themselves and illuminate others. I am meticulous about myself, conscientious about my work, conscientious and responsible for my students, and selfless dedication to society. From my survey data and interviews, I can see the current situation: 8% of people are unwilling to be teachers, and 70% of teachers use their previous lesson plans in class, without updating them in combination with the development and progress of society. With the implementation of new music curriculum standards, 94% of music teachers don't have a certain understanding and views on it, and 92% of teachers work part-time outside school or want to work part-time. 2. Primary school music teachers are not well educated. According to the survey, most of them are middle school teachers with the first degree, accounting for 74%, and they have not received professional music education. Although many teachers have passed the study of correspondence colleges and undergraduate courses during their tenure, and all of them have reached the diplomas of correspondence colleges and undergraduate courses, through my visit to correspondence schools (Dianjiang Experimental Middle School), I know that the attendance rate of correspondence students is very low, and many students have not come to class after paying tuition fees, and come to the exam directly at the end of each course. The survey also found that a large number of teachers engaged in music teaching after graduation and then transferred to Chinese, mathematics and other subjects in primary schools. Some music teachers often change their teaching posts because of the needs of schools, which shows that the ranks of music teachers in primary schools are very unstable. The survey also found that there are basically no full-time music teachers in Dianjiang primary schools. These conditions directly affect the healthy development of primary school music education, and also have a negative impact on primary school students' music aesthetic education. 3. The new teaching methods and teaching theories of primary school music teachers are not used enough. Primary school music teachers' overall cultural quality is not high, their computer level is very low, they are not familiar with the use of multimedia teaching methods or even some teachers can't use them, their English level is relatively poor, their Mandarin is generally second-class B, they are not familiar with the New Music Curriculum Standard, and they don't have a deep understanding of basic theoretical knowledge that is helpful to teaching, such as primary school pedagogy and primary school psychology. These directly lead to their relatively simple teaching methods and relatively backward teaching thinking. Lack of the application of new music teaching methods, such as multimedia teaching, activity teaching and situational teaching. New educational theories such as the integration of music courses, the socialization of educational content and the modernization of educational technology have not been popularized. It restricts music teachers to know students more deeply, update teaching concepts, deeply understand teaching contents and enrich teaching methods. 4. Primary school music teachers lack excellent professional knowledge. Due to the serial number of teachers' professional knowledge questionnaire (Table 2.2.4), Dianjiang Primary School chose item A (%), item B (%) and item C (%) 1. The degree of understanding of music theory A is above 48 30 22 2, and the degree of understanding of harmony A is above 52 36 12 3. Music level A is generally better than B, and C is very good. 48 44 8 4 has a better grasp of music history than B, 54 38 8 5 chorus command level A is not as good as B, 52 42 6 6 dance level A is not as good as B, 64 34 2 7 drama knowledge level A does not understand B, and C can sing 84 65438. +04 2 8 The ability to read music A is not good, B is good, 24 68 8 9 Piano performance and accompaniment A is not good, B is good, 60 32 8 As a qualified primary school music teacher, you should have the professional knowledge and skills mentioned in the above table and update them in time. The above survey results fully show that music teachers in primary schools in China lack excellent professional knowledge. The survey also shows that 74% of primary school music teachers graduated from secondary normal schools, and 60% of music teachers have never taken the music history exam. Only in recent years have junior colleges and undergraduate courses appeared, and the music knowledge learned as a student is relatively old in today's rapid development, which is not conducive to students receiving deeper and closer music education. However, in the face of difficulties, most of our teachers do not choose to improve themselves through various forms of learning, nor do they save their strength in daily life. Instead, we use these relatively old knowledge to train students. This repeated vicious circle will only run counter to the purpose of music teaching. Therefore, today's primary school music teachers should better strengthen the study of professional knowledge and skills, better serve music teaching, let students receive high-level and high-quality music education, cultivate and improve students' aesthetic ability from real music, and better realize the goal of art education. 5. Primary school music teachers lack unique innovative spirit. According to the survey, 92% of music teachers take part-time jobs in other occupations or consider taking part-time jobs, and they don't know enough about students, which fully shows that they are not fully focused on music education. Education shoulders the heavy responsibility of inheriting and creating human civilization. As the basic link of school quality education, primary education has a strong sense of social responsibility and has a particularly important impact on the growth of students. A teacher without 100% work enthusiasm will not achieve much in teaching, even if his professional level is higher. The music teacher's lesson plan is 70% outdated; Most of the lesson plans do not involve some new knowledge related to the subject, and 70% music teachers adopt traditional teaching; Few teachers use unique and advanced teaching methods to teach students, which shows that primary school music teachers lack certain innovative spirit. As a primary school music teacher, we must first love our work; Do your job well. Only in this way can you regard music education as the first need in life, have a good professional ethics, have a high sense of professionalism and responsibility, and make selfless contributions to the party's educational cause; In order to establish a solid professional thinking. (III) Investigation and analysis of the objective reasons for the quality of primary school music teachers in Dianjiang County While investigating the quality of primary school music teachers, we also learned about the importance attached by the school to primary school music education and the configuration of educational facilities through exchanges with some music teachers. Through sorting and summarizing, the situation is as follows: 1. The school does not pay enough attention to a primary school in Heyou District, Dianjiang County (comparative survey of mathematics and music: (Table 2.3. 1) The proportion of teachers in mathematics and music is 29 1. The class size is 2-3 7- 10. The number of classes in the same class is 1 2-3. The number of class hours (times/week) in the same class is 5-7 6544. 1-2 (Teacher's Leave) 20-30 (Half Term and Final Term) Entering Multimedia Classroom (Times/Term) 5-70- 1 Competition and Performance (Times/Term) 2-3 1/2-65438. Such a gap will inevitably affect the quality of music teaching, and at the same time affect the work enthusiasm of music teachers, thus not providing enough spiritual support for music teachers and affecting their enthusiasm for improving their comprehensive quality. 2. The educational facilities are not perfect. During the investigation, I also made the following investigation on the music teaching facilities of the 10 schools I visited (2 primary schools, 3 township primary schools and 5 village schools in Dianjiang County): (Table 2.3.2) Are there any multimedia music classrooms equipped with 3 7 audio equipment? 3 7 steel piano? 2 (county primary school)? Eight electric pianos? Four 6-handed pianos? 4 6-foot treadmill? 7 3 triangle iron (percussion)? 1 9 V C D 5 5 recorder? It is because of these music teaching facilities. The lack of many new theories, new concepts and new methods in music teaching can not be effectively implemented, and the cultivation of music teachers' quality and ability can not be improved. It has had a great influence on students' music education, especially in the key stage of primary school, students can't get a good quality education, which also lays a hidden danger for me to cultivate a new generation of construction talents. Third, the direction of improving the quality of primary school music teachers under the new curriculum standard. Today's society is a learning society, and improving the quality of primary school music teachers is inseparable from the teachers' own efforts. (A) primary school music teachers themselves should continue to work hard 1. Improve professional ethics. An excellent teacher must first love his work, his students and have a high sense of responsibility. When you fall in love with education, do your best to accomplish what you should do, and cultivate students according to the new music curriculum standard and the teaching purpose of music education in primary and secondary schools. The times are progressing and the economy is developing. Our teachers must withstand the temptation of the economic tide, stand firm on their own feet and establish the concept of lifelong dedication to education. 2. Lifelong learning improves the academic level of teachers, and is the engineer and teacher of human soul, preaching and teaching to solve doubts. Lifelong learning is conducive to improving the level of academic qualifications; Expand knowledge and update professional knowledge; Keep pace with the next generation and improve educational ability; Ensure the quality of education. It is very important for teachers to establish the concept of lifelong learning. The ancients said "it is never too old to learn", which is more important to all people and teachers. Primary school music teachers should constantly enrich themselves in their spare time so that their knowledge can be improved with the progress of the times. We should improve our knowledge and education in different ways in winter and summer vacations. For example: RTVU, correspondence, leaving for further study and so on. 3. Renewing teaching concepts and improving teaching requirements Under the new curriculum standards, primary school music teachers should strengthen their study of the new curriculum standards. Renew teaching ideas, pay attention to pre-class preparation, strengthen teaching and research activities, diversify teaching methods and improve their own requirements for teaching. (1) Teaching syllabus requirements: clear the teaching purpose, clear the prescribed knowledge system, the internal relationship between books and units, and clear the limited knowledge scope and depth. (2) Requirements for the use of teaching materials: accurately understand knowledge points, accurately grasp key points, accurately master training items, and flexibly organize and select teaching materials. (3) Requirements for preparing lessons and writing lesson plans: When preparing lessons, teachers should make clear students' overall understanding level, students' individual differences and predict students' learning problems. Writing lesson plans should be: clear purpose, clear difficulties, clear steps and clear methods. (4) Classroom teaching requirements: vivid oral expression. Excessive introduction, explanation, comment and summary in classroom teaching are rigorous, systematic, accurate and coherent. (5) Requirements for using advanced teaching methods: According to the needs of the curriculum, use existing modern teaching methods to make the classroom lively and arouse students' enthusiasm. (6) Optimizing teaching methods: taking students as the main body and teachers as the leading factor. The leading idea of teaching should be to fully mobilize students' enthusiasm, take students as the main body, give full play to students' dynamic role, make students easy to accept and enjoy learning, and teachers should also teach students learning methods. (7) Optimize the classroom teaching structure and enliven the classroom atmosphere: Teachers should let students think positively in the classroom, deal with problems without copying, give students room to play, and give students full opportunities to express their opinions. Whether the students answer correctly or not, they should be encouraged and never attacked. 4. Update professional knowledge and keep pace with the times. Times are progressing. The new syllabus, new teaching environment and new teaching content make our professional knowledge relatively backward, and the new teaching tools make our professional skills nowhere to display. As a qualified primary school music teacher, one should improve one's professional knowledge in this rapidly developing environment, and find out one's own shortcomings by participating in elementary school music teacher's basic skills competition, piano competition, vocal competition, music theory knowledge competition, chorus competition and so on. So as to find a breakthrough in work and study and improve yourself in a targeted manner. In the cycle of comparison-discovery-improvement-comparison-discovery-improvement, we can improve ourselves, keep up with the times and meet the needs of music education in primary schools. 5. Breaking through the tradition of realistic and innovative education has never stopped, and educational ideas and theories are constantly developing. Tradition is relative, and advanced is relative. Our primary school music teachers should inherit the previous teaching ideas and theories, and on this basis, combine the actual situation of students, their own actual situation, social development and some objective factors to carry out the teaching activities that are most suitable for the current situation. Update teaching plans irregularly, change traditional teaching, use advanced teaching methods, contact other disciplines and so on. And discover new teaching methods through various high-quality class competitions in various disciplines. Innovate your own teaching methods and means in reference-understanding-learning-application-presentation, and share them with others. * * * Learn together and * * * make progress together. (2) Constantly improve the educational environment and facilities under the new curriculum standard 1. Schools should adjust their development agenda. Music education is an important aspect of modern education. As a school, we should encourage our music teachers to improve their cultural, theoretical and professional qualities and provide them with more opportunities for study, communication and further study. For example, (1) conducts various appraisal activities with other schools to encourage teachers to find their own shortcomings in the appraisal process and improve themselves through continuous learning. (2) Encourage and support primary school music teachers to participate in various competitions. (3) Organize interdisciplinary exchange activities to improve cultural and theoretical literacy. (4) Organize all kinds of educational knowledge lectures to understand the cutting-edge educational theories and methods. Finally, the goal of improving the teaching staff is achieved, and the "four haves" new people facing the 2 1 world are cultivated for the motherland. 2. Improve music education facilities and increase investment in music teaching. In view of the poor school facilities and conditions, school leaders should purchase music equipment and equipment according to the actual situation of the school to meet the teaching needs of music teachers. As the saying goes, "a clever woman can't cook without rice." Without the most basic music teaching AIDS, music education will lose its most basic carrier and support, and its development will run counter to the strategy of "rejuvenating the country through science and education". Music teachers in primary schools will also stagnate because of lack of strong support, lose their enthusiasm for work, and their quality in all aspects will not be improved. 3. The education authorities should establish a teacher quality evaluation system that adapts to the times. The new round of basic education curriculum reform advocates actively exploring the evaluation system to promote teachers' continuous improvement on the basis of developmental evaluation, and finding effective forms and contents to evaluate teachers, so as to further improve the quality of classroom teaching and accelerate the full implementation of new music curriculum standards. Therefore, we should scientifically establish the quality evaluation system of primary school music teachers and give full play to the function of the quality evaluation system to meet the needs of basic curriculum reform. A scientific quality evaluation system for music teachers in primary schools will inevitably promote the improvement of their quality and ultimately play a decisive role in teaching quality. A scientific evaluation system should include professional ethics, professional quality and teaching quality. Professional ethics: including professional qualities such as loving education, respecting students, being a teacher by example, being strict with yourself, hard work and selfless dedication; Including professional skills, innovative achievements, academic research, award-winning activities and other teaching quality; Including the integrity and quality of teaching documents, natural teaching attitude, teaching effect and so on. At the same time, in the reform of the quality evaluation system of primary school music teachers, we should not only consider the characteristics of music disciplines, but also reflect the objective fairness of evaluating teachers' quality. IV. Summary After several months of busy and hard work, I finally finished my graduation thesis. During this period, it is difficult to express the whole writing process in words, from the initial confusion to the gradual entry into the state, and then to the gradual clarity of ideas. My graduation thesis is entitled "How to improve the quality of primary school music teachers under the new curriculum standard". In the process of writing this paper. Through the actual investigation in Dianjiang county, I have mastered the first-hand information of this paper, and on this basis, I have analyzed the quality status of primary school music teachers, such as education level, sense of responsibility, teaching methods, professional knowledge and so on. At the same time, through my own thinking and understanding of consulting materials, I found a way to improve the quality of music teachers in primary schools. Writing graduation thesis makes me understand that graduation thesis is a landmark assignment for our college students to complete their studies, a comprehensive summary and review of their own learning achievements, a preliminary attempt for college students to engage in scientific research, and a comprehensive answer sheet to test our knowledge, analyze problems and solve problems. Of course, due to the limitation of my knowledge, experience and time and energy, my thesis has many shortcomings, which will be the driving force for my future work and study, so that I can constantly improve myself in my work and study, improve my ability in all aspects, and finally cultivate myself into an excellent people's teacher. Good teachers are the foundation of running a good education and the guarantee of implementing the new curriculum standards.
