1, Fangshan Drum, originated from Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty, unique to Nanjing, vigorous and powerful, and is still passed down today. Fangshan Drum (Jumping Sparrows) is said to have originated from the activities of offering sacrifices to King Li Zicheng in Taojiazhuang, Fangshan. At the end of the Ming Dynasty, people living in Fangshan moved out of drums and danced to meet the king.
2. Qixia Dragon Dance, the inheritance of the ancient dragon culture, is well-known throughout the country. Qixia Dragon Dance still retains one of the most primitive forms of dragon dance-Chai Long. This kind of dragon is simple in shape and has many actors. It is 40 meters long and is one of the "living fossils of folk customs" in Nanjing.
3. Jiangpu hand-cranking, unique to Nanjing, is well-known throughout the country and is still passed down today. In the form of performance, Jiangpu Hand Lions usually have one person dancing the lion's head and one person dancing the lion's body and tail. The two worked closely together and coordinated their actions.
4. Gaochun folk songs are traditional folk songs of Gaochun in Nanjing with a long history. Gaochun has the custom of "going out to play folk songs" since ancient times. Gaochun was inhabited by humans more than 6300 years ago. Our ancestors created primitive labor songs in the process of fishing, hunting and grazing, such as tamping songs and boating songs.
As a provincial intangible cultural heritage, Liuba Drum is a famous folk percussion music in Luchang area. Every new year, six drums are the favorite performances of local people.
