How soon can SCI be published?
The time of reviewing manuscripts is a matter of concern and doubt to the author. Many authors are puzzled by the long wait, so today I will share with you some questions about the review time of academic papers.

Under normal circumstances, foreign authoritative journals have a strict review process, but it won't keep you waiting too long. What is the process of reviewing time? Review time consists of editor's preliminary review time, reviewer's review time and editor's comment time.

(1) Time for editing first review: After the editorial department receives the manuscript, all the magazines will be handed over to the editor-in-chief, and the editor-in-chief will arrange for the deputy editor to look for reviewers, and some editors will look for reviewers directly. Before appointing reviewers, these editors should first review the reviewers, mainly to see whether the manuscript conforms to the principle of running a journal, and more importantly, to see the fields involved in the manuscript, so as to find relevant reviewers for review.

The initial review time of editors is usually 1-2 weeks, but sometimes it is longer, such as public holidays and editors' business trips. There are so many public holidays in Britain and America that you can't help others take a holiday.

In recent years, the number of domestic contributions to foreign countries has soared, among which the contributions are mixed. One of the tasks of an editor is to directly shut out too bad manuscripts without increasing the burden on reviewers.

(2) Time for reviewers to review manuscripts: Generally, manuscripts will be reviewed by 2-3 reviewers (some publications will have more reviewers). In many magazines, the time for reviewers to review the manuscript is generally 2-3 weeks for communication and 3-4 weeks for full text. After this time, the editor can at most urge, and can't ask the reviewers how they are. Auditors have only obligations, not responsibilities. If the reviewer does not review the manuscript, the editorial department can find another reviewer. In this case, the time for reviewing the manuscript will be particularly long.

(3) Time for the editorial department to give opinions: After the reviewers' opinions are fed back to the editorial department, if 2-3 reviewers agree, the editor's conclusion will be better. If not, the editor has the right to make a decision. If the editor can't decide, he may have to ask the reviewer for arbitration again, which will take much longer to review the manuscript. The editorial department usually gives opinions within 1 week.

There are only two situations in which the time for reviewing manuscripts will be particularly fast. One is that the manuscript is particularly good, and the other is that the manuscript is particularly poor. It is normal that there is still no news within one month after submission, so the author need not worry too much.

So it will take a month at the earliest.
