The examination for registered psychological counselors is arranged twice a year, which is the first Sunday in June and the second Sunday in 1 1. The psychological counselor exam is held once every quarter, and there are four exams throughout the year, which are divided into comprehensive exams and thesis exams. The comprehensive examination is held on Saturday morning of the third week of the last month of each quarter, and the examination duration is 120 minutes; The thesis examination is completed one week after the comprehensive examination; Students who fail the exam can apply for a second interview within one year.

Those who meet one of the following conditions apply for the exam:

(1) has a nationally recognized college degree or above;

(2) Junior students with student ID cards or school certificates.

Examination process of psychological counselor

If you want to take an examination of psychological counselors, you should first participate in the basic training for psychological counselors organized by training institutions authorized by the Institute of Psychology of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Candidates complete their registration online. Among them, the paper version of the Registration Form must be filled in by the examinee himself and signed by him, and it shall not be replaced by others or institutions. The Institute of Psychology of Chinese Academy of Sciences regards the signature of the paper version of the registration form as written by the candidate himself. Make-up candidates copy the paper version of the registration form and attachments filed by the college to complete the registration.

After the registration is completed, you can normally participate in equipment debugging, simulation examination and formal examination according to the notification requirements. After passing the examination, you can obtain the basic training certificate of psychological counselors of Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
