Corrosion principle and protection knowledge of copper heat exchanger
1. Product and technology introduction: As a material with excellent thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity, metallic copper and its alloy are widely used in the production of various mechanical workpieces, such as power industry, central air conditioning, automobile water tanks and many other heat transfer devices are made of copper or its alloy. Generally speaking, copper is a corrosion-resistant material, but when it is used for a long time and exposed to a strong corrosive medium (such as seawater as the heat exchange medium in a copper heat exchanger), its corrosion and protection are more important considering the service life of the equipment. Benzotriazole (BTA) has good corrosion inhibition performance for copper in general medium, but its disadvantages are high price, toxicity and poor resistance to Cl- decomposition. After several years of research, we have developed a new copper carboxylate-based metal corrosion inhibitor DG 1. According to the polarization resistance measured by CP5 corrosion measuring instrument and weight loss (hanging) experiment, DG 1 has better corrosion inhibition effect on brass and copper than BTA under the same conditions in fresh water (tap water) and natural seawater, and hanging experiment shows that DG 1 its compound formula has corrosion and scale inhibition effect. II. Scope of application: 1. Power plant heat exchanger; 2. In the heat exchange equipment of central air conditioning; 3. Protection of electroplating plant equipment. 4. Resin plasticizer.
