What's the profile of Undset?
Sigrid undset (1882- 1949) is one of the three Norwegian writers who won the Nobel Prize in Literature and the latest one. The other two are 1903 award-winning Norwegian bard Bjorn Scherner Beyonsson and 1920 award-winning knut hamsun. Their parents have a deep marriage with Rome. Actually 1882 when her parents lived in Rome, she should have been born there. But just before her birth, her father suddenly became seriously ill, and her parents rushed back to her mother's home in Kailongbao, where sigrid was born. However, Undset felt very strongly that her real birthplace should be Rome, so when she stayed in Rome from 65438 to 0909, she followed her parents' footsteps and visited her hometown everywhere. She soon made many friends among Scandinavian artists and writers in Rome. In the interaction with others, she becomes more cheerful, outgoing and lively. In those years, Sigrid Undset seemed to have some personal religious experiences from time to time. In all her works, people can feel her keen insight into the mysteries of life that can neither be explained by reason nor common sense. Behind her cool, almost cruel realism, there is always something that cannot be answered. This understanding of mystery seems to come from personal religious experience. The crisis changed her view of Christianity. She no longer believes that man created God, but gradually believes that God created man. The Protestant Lutheran Church in Norway where she was baptized did not become her choice. 1924165438+10 In October, she joined the Roman Catholic Church and received comprehensive guidance from local Catholic priests in her parish.
