University teaching and personnel training are closely related to scientific research. Without high-level scientific research support, it is impossible to have high-level teaching and high-quality personnel training. Professor Zhou Ping's outstanding achievements in teaching and educating people are inseparable from his high-level scientific research and academic influence. He stood at the forefront of the academic field, and with the support of scientific research, feedback teaching and personnel training, he effectively promoted the work of teaching and educating people.

Professor Zhou Ping has published 23 academic papers 1, including 7 political studies, 3 ethnic studies 1, 3 articles reprinted by Xinhua Digest,1by academic abstracts of liberal arts in colleges and universities, and dozens of articles reprinted by NPC. He has published 8 personal monographs and edited more than 0 textbooks and works 10.

He took the lead in applying the method of political science to the study of ethnic political life, ethnic political phenomena and political problems in China, and constructed a complete theoretical system of ethnic political science. His monograph "Ethnic Politics" was first selected by the Ministry of Education as the "Tenth Five-Year Plan Textbook for General Higher Education" and published by Higher Education Press, and then selected as the "Postgraduate Textbook" by the Ministry of Education and published by the second edition of Higher Education Press, which promoted the establishment of ethnic politics discipline and talent training system in China.

Starting from the fact that China's frontier region is vast, frontier strategy is important, and frontier issues are prominent and have great influence, he introduced the idea of border management into the study of frontier issues and opened up the research field of frontier governance. He also initiated studies on the inter-ethnic political integration, the value orientation of ethnic policies, the ability of county-level governments, and political technology in multi-ethnic countries. Now, these aspects have become an important field of political science and ethnic politics research.

Obtaining the key projects of the Ministry of Education is the embodiment of the strength of colleges and universities. After the Ministry of Education set up public bidding for such projects in 2003, colleges and universities attached great importance to it and actively organized forces to participate in the bidding. From June 5, 2005 to 10, Professor Zhou Ping led a team to participate in the bidding of the project "Building a Harmonious Socialist Society in Frontier Multi-ethnic Areas" and won the bid successfully. This is the first such project obtained by local universities in China, which has achieved a zero breakthrough in such projects in Yunnan Province.

In fact, Professor Zhou Ping has obtained more important scientific research projects than this. He has successively won and presided over three key projects of the National Social Science Fund, the general project 1, the Ninth Five-Year Plan of the State Education Commission 1, the Outstanding Talents Support Program of the Ministry of Education 1, three social science planning projects of Yunnan Province, and the Yunnan provincial government (university cooperation).

Professor Zhou Ping has not only made outstanding achievements in scientific research, but also exerted an important academic influence and won many weighty scientific research awards. Among them, he won the following awards independently: the 4th China University Humanities and Social Sciences Research Award 1, the Social Sciences Research Award of the State Ethnic Affairs Commission 1, three first prizes for outstanding social science achievements in Yunnan Province, two second prizes for outstanding social science achievements in Yunnan Province, outstanding cultural projects in Yunnan Province 1 and outstanding teaching materials in Yunnan Province 1.

Professor Zhou Ping's lecture is rich in connotation, and his mind seems to have a steady stream of knowledge. He can confidently integrate knowledge, master various disciplines in chess and freely use various scientific research methods in the process of guiding graduate students, all thanks to his high-level scientific research level, rich scientific research achievements and remarkable academic influence.
