David is based on fairy tales in the Old Testament. He is a figure in the Bible. He was the king of Israel from BC 1065438 to BC 970. During his reign, he overthrew the rule of Philistines and unified Israel. The hero had a wonderful and touching story when he was young.
The statue shows a strong young man with a vigorous posture, firm expression, full muscles and full of energy. He seems to feel the pulse of the characters' blood vessels, which highlights David's tall image as a hero.

Michelangelo did not follow the scene of David stepping on the enemy's head after defeating the enemy, but chose David's state when he met the battle. He carefully described David's face before the battle: he stood confidently, with a heroic and handsome face, his head turned slightly to the left, and his eyes were fixed on the enemy, as if searching for distant enemies on the horizon, ready to enter a new battle.
