How to insert a reference in a word document?
1. First open a Word document, as shown in the figure. Suppose we want to insert a reference mark at the position in the diagram.

2. Move the cursor to this position, click "Reference" in the menu above, and then select "Insert Endnote".

3. After selecting the annotation symbol, click the small arrow next to the footnote to open the footnote and endnote dialog box, and then select the symbol button to change the custom symbol to bracket format.

4. At this point, the reference label format is generated. Simply enter the referenced reference in the drawing.
