For a college graduate, only the concepts of diploma and diploma registration certificate are completely different.

Many units have different policies for these two situations.

I don't recommend hiding. Such a thing is easy to find. Once a bad impression is made on you, your future will be worrying.

I suggest you make it clear to the unit before reporting for duty.

If the unit doesn't mind, it's best. If so, try to get a degree certificate before going to work.
