After the completion of graduate dissertations, at the beginning of the sixth semester (before mid-March), all disciplines (majors) should organize the pre-examination of dissertations, and only after passing the examination can they enter the re-examination stage. The preliminary examination of dissertations is presided over by the person in charge of the discipline, and the evaluation group is composed of tutors. All disciplines should submit the list of students who have passed the preliminary examination to the graduate school (to be built) for the record. Pre-defense (review) of dissertations The pre-defense (review) of graduate dissertations should be completed in the sixth semester (before the beginning of May). The pre-defense committee is composed of a postgraduate tutor group and a secretary, and the person in charge of the discipline or a person with a senior title appointed by it serves as the chairman of the pre-defense committee. The secretary of the pre-defense Committee assists the chairman in his work. The results of pre-defense shall be discussed and determined by the pre-defense committee, and the materials shall be reported to the graduate school (to be set up) for the record. Students who did not participate in the pre-defense or failed in the pre-defense cannot participate in the formal defense and should postpone the defense.
