In-service doctoral thesis defense
On-the-job doctoral thesis defense is naturally inseparable from the college thesis defense Committee. Students can only apply for a doctoral degree certificate if they participate in the public thesis defense organized by the college thesis defense Committee.
Composition of the thesis defense committee in colleges and universities: It consists of no less than 7 experts with senior professional and technical positions, including at least 4 doctoral supervisors and 2 experts outside the degree-granting unit and the applicant's institution.
Thesis defense: The thesis defense committee makes a decision on whether or not to recommend granting a doctorate according to the defense situation. The resolution was passed by secret ballot, which required the consent of more than two thirds of all members. After the resolution is signed by the chairman of the thesis defense Committee, it is submitted to the degree evaluation Subcommittee.
