After receiving the report, the editorial department invited foreign language experts to check and confirm with the original work. After careful comparison, it is found that Yu Yanru's long-term translation of foreign authors' monographs in his papers, and even the direct use of the documents cited by the authors as annotations, has constituted plagiarism.
On August 65438+7, 2007, International News published an announcement about Yu Yanru's plagiarism. The announcement pointed out that in order to oppose such academic misconduct, the journal decided to take three measures: first, publish the plagiarism of Yu Yanru's papers on the journal's website and inform the author's relevant units; Second, contact the relevant literature collection agencies to delete the electronic version of Yu Yanru's article; Third, reject Yu Yanru's contribution within five years.
The reporter saw on the website of the international press that Ru Yan's plagiarism was marked in yellow in the appendix of the announcement. Except for the abstract and conclusion, Yu Yanru "translated" almost all the monographs of foreign authors, and even copied many paragraphs verbatim.
Chen Lidan thinks plagiarism is intolerable and must be dealt with seriously. At the same time, he said that this plagiarism incident warned them to constantly improve their evaluation work. On behalf of the editorial department, he sincerely apologized to the readers for the omission of work, and called on everyone to resist academic misconduct and abide by academic ethics.
In an interview with reporters on the 23rd, the head of the history department of Peking University said that Yu Yanru was a doctoral student in the department and has now graduated from the school. Our department attaches great importance to the suspected plagiarism of Yu Yanru's doctoral thesis, and will immediately organize relevant experts to review his doctoral thesis. If plagiarism is confirmed, it will be dealt with according to the relevant regulations of the school.
