(4) Develop the frontier: ① Set up four counties in Hexi to manage the Hexi Corridor to Yumenguan area; ② Re-establish counties and strengthen the jurisdiction over the vast areas south of Wuling; (3) Bring the "Southwest Yi" area under the direct rule of the Han Dynasty.

In a word, the rule of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty enabled the Western Han Dynasty to achieve "great unity" in politics, ideology, economy and military affairs, and the Western Han Dynasty entered its heyday.
