Abstract: School course arrangement is a very important and complicated management work in the education management system. Automatic course arrangement is an important content of computer application in school management. This time, we actively explore and research and develop a practical computer course scheduling system. Automatic course arrangement system is a part of digital campus system. It relies on computers to complete the complicated course arrangement, which avoids the conflict between teachers' class time and classrooms caused by manual course arrangement.

Course arrangement management system is a typical information management system (m is), and its development mainly includes the establishment and maintenance of background database and the development of front-end application programs. For the former, it is required to establish a database with strong data consistency and integrity and good data security. For the latter, the application is required to be fully functional and easy to use.

The foreground development language used in this system is VB and the background database is SQL SERVER. This paper mainly introduces the design idea and implementation process of automatic course arrangement system. Using all kinds of object-oriented development tools provided by Microsoft VISUAL BASIC, especially data window, an intelligent object that can manipulate the database conveniently and concisely, the system application prototype is first established in a short time, and then the requirements of the initial prototype system are iterated, continuously modified and improved until a feasible system satisfying users is formed.
