I have a strong interest in the subject and my grades are good, but after one year, half of the students' interest in English learning has declined and their grades have generally declined. About 10% people regard English as a burden and their grades are in a mess. I have carefully analyzed the above situation and come to the conclusion that under the background of deepening and expanding the knowledge of textbooks today, the content of our textbooks is also deepening and expanding. It becomes difficult for students to digest knowledge. Most teachers only pay attention to the progress of the course, only pay attention to the textbook knowledge and teach it, and ignore the diversity and interest of teaching methods, which leads to the decrease of students' learning enthusiasm and interest.

The success of English teaching depends not only on students' intelligence factors, but also on their non-intelligence factors, that is, what we call interest, emotion and will. For teachers, the first task is to stimulate students' interest in learning and let them feel the joy of learning English. As long as we pay attention to the diversification of teaching methods, I think there are three strategies to cultivate and stimulate students' interest in learning English.

One. Strategies to encourage education 1. Stimulate students' self-confidence with "thumb" education. The so-called "thumb" education is to give students confidence and hint that they will do things well and study well. Experiments show that Class A with the same quality and conditions always wins. Before the implementation, students in Class A were told: "You will be lawyers, doctors, judges, teachers, engineers, designers or mayors when you grow up", and so on. After being hinted, students' confidence is greatly increased, and they will go all out, persevere and forge ahead in order to realize their ideals. After one year's study, the final assessment results show that Class A is superior to Class B in learning attitude, academic performance, reaction ability and all aspects. If you can experience success in time, you will have confidence in yourself and become more and more interested in learning. Therefore, as a teacher, we should pay attention to designing some related difficulty adaptation activities or exercises before the end of each class, so that students can learn something and feel that they have learned something in each class.
