There is a serious misunderstanding between me and my tutor. At first, my tutor was very angry and said a cruel word to me: If you do this, you will quit school! An on-the-job postdoctoral fellow who has never met before and only chatted on WeChat several times called the teacher and said that I asked for information about his two papers, but I didn't write them to him. If you only listen to this senior's one-sided words, everyone will be very angry. I especially understand the tutor's mood, because it involves academic ethics. Making up, tampering with and plagiarizing experimental data are all serious academic misconduct, corrupting academic atmosphere, hindering academic progress, violating scientific spirit and morality, and abandoning the principle of truthfulness and integrity of scientific experimental data, which will have a negative impact on science and education and is an ugly act that damages academic image.

First of all, it is nonsense to ask for the data of his two papers. Except that the materials were prepared by him, all the other experimental results were sent to him by email after I tested and analyzed them. But because he hadn't written an English paper for a long time, he asked me if I had a special translator. I just took a similar job, translating Chinese papers for a teacher with a long grade but poor English. I didn't say I could. I made it clear that if writing this paper will not harm the interests of the tutor, that is, the mailing address is still in the research group (the first communication unit of domestic papers is the most important), and there is no harm in the group, I will agree.

Secondly, as for writing a paper, he told me the material preparation process (that is, the data of one of his papers), so I set out to write a paper, but only a little of this data was too thin to be published in such a competitive scientific research environment, so I synthesized a set of materials and improved and expanded this set of data. However, during the test, I found that the performance characterization data of raw materials in each document were slightly different, so I asked my senior and junior for the original data he had tested, wanted to know the similarities and differences with mine and the documents, and had a simple academic exchange. The result was told to ask for the data of a paper. Of course the tutor is angry, but I am really wronged. I just hope that the quality of the paper can be better and the completion progress will be slower. I wanted to discuss this matter with my tutor after I finished my thesis, but before I finished it, I was led by my senior.

I apologize to my tutor for this, but I really didn't think it through. There are three main points: ① I didn't let the tutor know in advance, so that the tutor didn't know anything when my brother called to tell me about it; (2) I am not sensitive to things that involve my own interests, because I don't do anything, I only consider not harming the interests of teachers, but I only work hard and have no credit; The nature and consequences of the above two points are very serious. Moreover, my contribution may not be known to others (mainly my future employment unit), and my tutor felt that I was quite wronged after listening to my explanation. When I say nothing, I should exercise my writing thinking and improve myself. I thought so before, so I don't care about giving.

Back to the theme of this issue, in the face of blind criticism from leaders, it is bound to be explained. From his point of view, he also wants to know more details, such as what you think and why you do it. It's just that words are very important when explaining, not only to make him feel that you are shirking responsibility, but also to express the whole story clearly.

Of course, you can't simply say "I'm wrong" and modify it according to the boss's request. It seems that you have no brain. Apologize can mean: I was really thoughtless in leading this work. When I took this job from my colleague, I felt that I could do it so many times, so I was lazy and didn't make any changes or show you. At the same time, propose a solution, do you think ... is this ok? In the process of admitting my mistakes, I also defended myself, and at the same time, I shaped my image as an open-minded, positive and decisive good employee.
