The vibration and noise laboratory was established in 1988. The laboratory mainly focuses on ship structure, mechanical equipment and power plant, and carries out research on vibration and noise testing, analysis and control.

All members of the Vibration and Noise Laboratory have doctoral degrees, including 2 professors, 6 associate professors 1 person and 6 middle-level titles, with solid theoretical foundation and experimental research ability. The laboratory has successively undertaken more than 20 projects 120, including National Natural Science Foundation, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Military Commission Science and Technology Committee, Military Commission Equipment Development Department, National Defense Science and Technology Bureau, National Defense Pre-research Fund, Jiangsu Natural Science Foundation, National Defense Key Laboratory Open Fund, and National Defense and Enterprise Horizontal Projects.
