Application is one of the subjects of Chinese mainland National Civil Service Qualification Examination. In the application examination, candidates analyze according to the specified materials, put forward their own views and demonstrate. The application mainly examines the candidates' analysis, generalization, refining and processing of given materials, and tests the candidates' reading comprehension ability, comprehensive analysis ability, ability to ask and solve problems, and writing and expression ability. The application examination is a test of the ability to simulate the daily work of civil servants.
Application refers to a style of given materials or specific topics, and it is a new style accompanied by the emergence and implementation of the civil service recruitment examination system. As an examination method for selecting talents, the application proposition is very accurate and scientific. It is a scientific evaluation method developed on the basis of fully absorbing the advantages of strategy, basic writing and official document writing, aiming at examining students' practical ability. Literally, "trial" can be understood as expression, defense and statement, while "theory" is discussion, argumentation and argumentation. The so-called application is to explain the viewpoints and reasons for a certain problem and reasonably infer the logical relationship between materials and between viewpoints and materials.
"Theology" is obviously different from other theories. It's not the kind of rhetoric that chooses materials according to subjective likes and dislikes and gives full play to personality, but it needs to accurately grasp some objective facts, make necessary explanations and statements, and then express pertinent opinions, put forward strategies and demonstrate on this basis. Its function is completely different from argumentative essays widely used in social communication.
As an examination-oriented style devoted to the selection and appointment of national civil servants, Shen Lun appropriately draws lessons from some experiences and practices of the "strategy theory" in China's ancient imperial examinations. Both "strategy theory" and "application theory" are methods of selecting talents, and both require candidates to show outstanding written expression ability and analytical judgment ability, and the proposed countermeasures (schemes) must be feasible. However, Theology is more realistic, targeted and flexible in form than Xie Lun in content. "Strategy theory" mostly requires candidates to discuss some major issues, that is, to demonstrate the feasibility and rationality of a national policy or countermeasure, focusing on the ability of candidates to solve problems. The application requires candidates to find and solve problems from a large number of realistic materials that reflect daily problems, and comprehensively inspect the quality and potential of candidates in collecting and processing all kinds of daily information, which fully embodies the characteristics of the information age and adapts to the needs of the actual work of civil servants in today's country.
Judging from the provisions of the examination syllabus and the practical problems over the years, the application examination provides candidates with a series of written materials reflecting specific practical problems. Candidates are required to read these materials carefully, summarize the main problems reflected by them, and put forward practical solutions to this problem. Finally, their views are elaborated and demonstrated in detail. The writing method of "Shen Lun" avoids the factors that may not be suitable for civil servants in the traditional "Composition" and highlights the ability to take the exam.
