Investigation Report on College Students' Ideals and Beliefs I. Background Introduction In view of the impact of this year's financial crisis, many college students find it difficult to find jobs. Will college students have a negative impact on their ideals or lower their ideal requirements because of various problems? Did you stick to your beliefs and re-establish your dreams? Therefore, we conducted a social survey of college students' ideals and beliefs, better understood the situation of college students, combined with social reality, better and effectively allocated human resources and promoted social development. The party's ideological and political work is the lifeline of all work, which is determined by the party's function and role. Only by giving full play to the political advantages of the party's ideological and political work can we ensure the correct development direction of the work and eliminate and overcome the interference of various wrong ideas in time. Strengthening the education of ideals and beliefs is the core of ideological and political work. Correct ideals and beliefs are never formed spontaneously, but are gradually established by scientific means such as education, training and guidance in social practice, and then developed into people's action guides. Therefore, ideological and political work must take the education of ideals and beliefs as the core content, so as to play the role of shaping and guiding people. Facing the new century, due to the further deepening of reform and the adjustment of various interest relations, people's social life, political life and economic life are bound to undergo tremendous and profound changes. In the process of this transformation, various new situations and new problems emerge one after another. As ideological and political workers, we must make great efforts to explore, deeply study the new contents, new features and new ways of ideological and political work in the new period, explore the regular things, inherit the tradition, explore new ways and create a new situation. Second, the purpose and method of the survey I conducted a sample survey of the students' ideals and beliefs in our college. This survey was conducted by questionnaire, discussion and individual interview. * * * 300 questionnaires were distributed and 270 questionnaires were collected. The survey covered three grades of non-graduating students, including undergraduates 160, accounting for 59.3%, and freshmen 125, accounting for 46.3%. Second grade 1 10, accounting for 40.7%; There are 35 students in Grade Three, accounting for 13%, which basically reflects the situation of students of different sexes and grades. The survey includes 24 questions about college students' attitude towards life, joining the Party, "Three Principles" and values. The results of the questionnaire survey were tested and statistically analyzed. The survey results show that the political inclination, life attitude, competitive consciousness and dedication of computer majors are basically consistent with the pace of the times, showing the characteristics and changes of being proactive, pragmatic and open. At the same time, there are some contradictions and problems in their thoughts. Third, the problem (a) was found, and the survey result was 1. The thought actively demanded progress and cared about politics, but the grade difference was obvious. The survey results show that most students actively demand progress and care about hot issues. For example, when asked if they want to join the China * * * production party, 53.6% of the students answered yes, and 2 1.9% answered no. When asked whether they pay attention to international and domestic news, 78.3% of the students expressed concern or great concern, and only 2 1.7% of the students expressed little concern. When asked about the purpose of joining the China * * * Production Party, 15.5% of the students said that they believed in * * * production, 23.3% said that they would contribute to society and others, and 35.5% said that they wanted to play their role and become talents as soon as possible. However, another figure reflects some problems. When asked if they want to join the China * * * production party, 57.4% of undergraduates want to join and 48.2% of junior college students want to join. It is not difficult to see that undergraduates are more active than junior college students in ideological requirements. In terms of grade distribution, 64.8% of the first-year students want to join the China * * * production party, 44.4% of the second-year students want to join, and only 37.9% of the third-year students want to join the * * * production party. There are more students who ask to join the party in the lower grades than in the upper grades. 2. Strong collective consciousness, but showing individualism. When answering the contradiction between personal interests and group or collective interests, 49.8% of the students chose to focus on group or collective interests, and 38.6% chose to give consideration to both collective interests and personal interests; When asked if he wants to be a person who puts himself before others and distinguishes between public and private, 72% of the students answered that 24.5% said no, which shows that most students can put collective interests first and sacrifice personal interests for others and the collective, and have a strong sense of collectivism. On the other hand, it also shows that they don't want to lose their personal interests and give consideration to the collective interests without harming their personal interests. As can be seen from the latter question, some students show individualistic tendencies. 3. A positive attitude towards life is manifested in the pursuit of pragmatism. When asked about their attitude towards life, 64.9% students choose optimism and self-improvement. When asked what success is in college, 60.8% students choose people who engage in various social activities and have extensive contacts. Among the useful options, 40% people agree with this view, in the option that money is truth, 12.5% students agree with this view, and in the issue that material interests are paramount, 10.6% students agree with this view. Their attitude towards life is positive, and they are eager to understand and integrate into society, which also shows that young people are influenced by the market economy environment and pursue pragmatism. However, their criteria for judging things are more useful or not, and more people are willing to combine personal interests with national interests and collective interests, that is, to make contributions without violating their commitments. Pursuing personal career achievements is also a pragmatic standard. They demand independence, but they depend on it. When asked about the main criteria for judging whether something is right or not, 57% students choose their own criteria. When asked about the main ways to realize the value of life, 66% students choose to work hard and seek help at the same time. College students are out of the control of their parents and the pressure of college entrance examination, and their sense of independence that has sprouted in adolescence is rapidly revived and their self-awareness is enhanced. However, for a long time, due to the disadvantages of educational orientation, college students generally lack self-care ability and psychological preparation. When they encounter problems and difficulties in life and study, they show great psychological dependence and have the psychology of getting something for nothing. 5, multi-channel access to information, diversified content They expect to understand society or information, but channels are no longer a single way. When asked about the information channel, 26.4% of the students chose newspapers, 18% of the students chose radio, 24% of the students chose television, 2 1.5% of the students chose the internet and 4.4% chose the campus publicity window. Obtaining information through various channels reflects their desire for information and further reflects the diversity of the content they want to obtain. (2), problem analysis 1, social and environmental impact of opening to the outside world and market economy. In the process of the development of market economy, people are psychologically unbalanced and lose confidence in the adjustment function of morality. Principles that only apply to the economic field, such as the principle of maximizing interests and the principle of equal exchange, have eroded people's moral field. Young college students are in the accumulation period of accepting new knowledge, new things and other kinds of knowledge, and they are also most vulnerable to some external factors. During this period, they learn and imitate some social phenomena, which leads to moral anomie in some fields, confusion of the boundaries between right and wrong, good and evil, beauty, ugliness, honor and disgrace, and the inversion and dislocation of some people's moral concepts. 2. The invasion of western values. The entry and spread of some western bourgeois values, such as extreme individualism, money worship, hedonism and liberalism, have corroded people's thoughts, especially the influence on teenagers' thoughts, and changed their values. On the one hand, young college students are in the process of forming their world outlook, outlook on life and values. There are different standards for judging things, mostly based on personal consciousness; On the other hand, young people have the psychology of pursuing new knowledge and accepting new things; In the third aspect, some students have the idea that foreign monks like to recite scriptures. This leads to the deviation of college students' values. Modern science and technology have promoted the progress of human civilization and brought modern diseases. People's materialization tendency is more and more obvious, people's chances and frequency of contact with machines increase, interpersonal communication decreases, human feelings become weaker and weaker, and moral consciousness naturally begins to decline. Nowadays, with the modernization of social transportation facilities, the Internet and telephone facilitate people's contact, but reduce the time between people and weaken their feelings. On the other hand, the contact between characters played down the traditional etiquette requirements in China, and even the minimum courtesy was lost, which led to their moral decline. In addition, the network has greatly changed the channels for students to receive information. There is a large amount of network information, and all kinds of information may appear, and it is inevitable that there will be wrong and unhealthy information, which has brought great impact on ideological and moral construction. 4. Education itself has problems. (1) Moral construction attaches importance to theoretical education and ignores practice, which leads to students' behaviors that they don't like, but they don't care about them, and they lack common understanding of public moral standards consistent with others and themselves. Even if practice is arranged, it is mostly a mere formality, which is not enough to stimulate students' emotional experience and lacks effectiveness. ② Primary and secondary education is a critical period for students' education, and our education is exam-oriented education with the goal of pursuing the enrollment rate. As long as you get good grades, you will form other indifferent ideas. This kind of thinking is instilled in students and even affects their ideology and morality. It is difficult to reverse this phenomenon after entering the university. (3) The forms of political theory courses and moral cultivation courses offered by universities are not ideal, which leads to boring classes and students' unwillingness to attend classes. The teaching content is not closely related to the practice, the pertinence is not strong, and the teaching effect is not obvious or can not reach the expected teaching effect. 5. The influence of family can not be ignored. On the one hand, because most students are only children, some parents are spoiled and used to it, which makes them indulge their personal consciousness and behavior and lack self-discipline consciousness. /kloc-after 0/8 years old, they are still like children, with weak sense of responsibility, immaturity and lack of correct outlook on life. On the other hand, students' family economic situation is different, but they have a strong psychological comparison, which distorts some students' outlook on life in dressing, eating and spending money. Some people feel that life is uncertain, they can't treat their experiences correctly, and they begin to believe in fate, which is also a subsidiary product of value diversification. 6. pragmatism is too strong. Pragmatism emphasizes action, pays attention to actual effect, advocates determining the direction of action from the effect, ignores other factors, and regards the relationship between people and things as two points and one line. At present, some college students are too utilitarian and eager for quick success. What they want to learn must be useful. They attach importance to the improvement of scientific and cultural quality and ignore the strengthening of ideological and moral quality. Do not understand the social function of morality, despise or even ignore moral cultivation. The reaction to doing something is whether it is good for me or not. Put contribution and dedication in a secondary position. Fourthly, the formation of ideal and belief in solving problems needs a process, and the establishment of scientific ideal and belief needs long-term accumulation to produce a qualitative leap. The establishment of college students' ideals and beliefs is also a tortuous and spiraling process. Therefore, in order to truly treat both the symptoms and root causes and solve deep-seated problems from the outside to the inside, it is necessary to find the right combination point in the process of ideal and belief education and guide college students to establish scientific ideals and beliefs. (1) Carry out three learning activities: learning theory, learning national conditions and learning advanced, so as to fundamentally improve the education of ideals and beliefs of contemporary college students. The correct ideals and beliefs are not spontaneous, but come from the armed forces of Marxist theory, from a clear understanding and correct grasp of the law of social and historical development and the value of life under the guidance of this scientific theory. In-depth education of ideals and beliefs focuses on "arming people with scientific theories". ② Education of ideals and beliefs for college students is to go out of the classroom, strengthen the construction of practice bases, combine the construction of ideals and beliefs with the construction of social practice bases and professional practice bases, give full play to the multifunctional role of the bases, let college students receive image education in base activities, consolidate the achievements of ideals and beliefs education, and cultivate people through social practice. ③ At the same time, ideal and belief education should rely on typical guidance and example infection. People with ideals talk about ideals and let advanced deeds infect people. It is necessary to publicize party member, a typical student, in time to guide students to discover the positive factors in party member, because people and things around them are more cordial and convincing, and the "bright spots" around them are more easily accepted and imitated, so that theoretical armed forces and practical education can be organically combined in image education. ④ Ideal and belief education can not be separated from national conditions and task education. In order to help and guide students to establish a correct world outlook, outlook on life and values, it is necessary to formulate step-by-step educational content according to the characteristics of different periods, establish goals, make plans and arrange a series of activities according to the characteristics of each grade, that is, to help students plan their careers and realize systematic ideological education in the process of becoming talents. 1. Strengthen the first-grade moral etiquette education. Freshmen who have just entered the university from high school are young, inexperienced, immature and fragile. They have a strong sense of self, but lack the ability of self-supervision, restraint and control. They are eager to become talents, but lack the perseverance to learn. They want to be a moral person, but it is difficult to be self-disciplined in real life. They don't know how to do it. They lack knowledge and understanding of correct manners. They need to understand, but they can't handle the relationship between individuals and others and the collective well. In view of this situation, we should carry out self-cultivation education to adapt to college life. Set up a compulsory course of public relations etiquette or hold a special lecture to supplement the lack of moral education before college. Educate students around qualified and civilized, strengthen their sense of responsibility and mission, and educate students about collectivism and excellent style of study. 2. Second-year self-awareness education The second-year students have basically adapted to the life of college students, their thoughts are basically stable, and their psychology tends to mature. During this period, we should educate them to know themselves correctly and make a correct, objective and scientific evaluation of themselves. The evaluation content includes thinking mode, thinking method, moral standard, knowledge and so on. It is also the most critical point of career planning to establish your ambition according to your personal situation. Help students to correctly plan the goal of becoming a talent, make a scientific study plan, educate students to think deeply about life problems, and help students establish a correct outlook on life and correct life goals through education. 3. The cultivation of the comprehensive ability of the third grade is the key stage for students to achieve their career goals, the key stage for the implementation of the study plan, and the important stage for laying a good professional foundation. During this period, students are tested for their professional orientation, and according to their personal interests and development potential, some excellent skills are selectively cultivated, students are educated to write professional articles, and their own opinions are boldly put forward, so as to exercise their ability and creativity in solving problems independently. Encourage them to do part-time social work and try to participate in various social practice activities. Selectively take (minor in) other professional knowledge to enhance oral English, computer application ability and English writing ability, thus laying a solid foundation for achieving the goal. 4. Fourth-grade professional ethics education Due to the special circumstances of our college, there are no senior students, but it does not mean that we should relax. As the first undergraduate graduate of our college, it represents the face of our college and its undergraduate teaching strength. Therefore, do a good job in preparing for the education of fourth-grade students. The fourth grade is the last year for college students. Students are facing the test of choosing a job and working, so it is very urgent to carry out education on career choice and professional ability before employment. Its goal is to enable students to establish a correct concept of job selection through education, and to improve students' comprehensive quality and ability to adapt to society and posts by holding lectures or holding simulated job hunting with enterprises. Educate them to adapt to the social environment and work needs, conduct professional ethics education, cultivate the spirit of hard work and simplicity, and cultivate the spirit of dedication. Educate them to contribute to the construction of society and the motherland. (3) Ideological education should be combined with the development of party member. Students with good performance and outstanding achievements should be identified as activists in time, contact persons should be identified in time, and education and training should be strengthened, so that there will be party member in grade one, party groups in grade two and party branches in grade three and four. Give full play to the role of party member, staff members, general branches and branches, implement the method of combining collective education with individual help, organize activists to seriously study the basic knowledge and theory of the Party, systematically master the theories of Marxism–Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory and "Theory of Three Represents", make them correct their motivation to join the Party, and truly solve the problem of joining the Party ideologically. (4) Strengthen the reform of moral education curriculum, and ensure the education of ideals and beliefs from the curriculum. 1. Change the teaching methods of two courses in lower grades to attract students' attention. At present, the political theory course is boring, and students are unwilling to listen and distracted. Therefore, it is necessary to change the teaching methods of this kind of courses and hold several special lectures by means of vertical connection, such as economic section and military thought section. At the same time, combined with some practical activities, let students learn to think and think. 2. Offering compulsory courses on national conditions education or holding lectures on situations and tasks regularly among senior students can not only realize theoretical study for four consecutive years, but also educate students on patriotism and nationalism during the learning process. In view of the maturity of senior students' ideological understanding, we should grasp their characteristics of caring about national affairs and current affairs, carry out national education courses that students like, or hold lectures on national conditions, situations and tasks. 3. Set up a compulsory course of public relations etiquette. In recent years, due to the influence of primary and secondary education and family education, many students don't know how to treat people and how to interact with people correctly. Therefore, it is necessary to set up a course of public relations etiquette in the first grade, to teach you some ways to treat people, to make up for the educational defects before college, and to make every college student truly become a civilized college student through a semester or a year of study. (5) What is the purpose of combining moral education with teaching? Improve quality, revitalize democracy and promote historical progress. There are two ways of education: one is teaching and the other is educating people. Mr. Xu Teli once said: "Teaching is not only imparting knowledge, but also educating people. After education, the younger generation will grow into people with ideological quality. " Only by studying high can you be a teacher, respected and respected, and become an example for people to learn and admire. However, the contradiction between teaching knowledge and ideological education has not been fundamentally solved, which separates teaching knowledge from ideological education. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the professional knowledge learning of ideological and political workers, and at the same time strengthen the moral cultivation and norms of teachers, so as to truly teach and educate people. The above is my investigation and analysis of students' ideals and beliefs in the Department of Information Management and Engineering.
