Two update operations.

The first type: there is a new directory content to add.

1. Open the Word document and enter a new directory.

4. Select the option of "Update entire directory" and click the "OK" button.

Second, there is nothing new to add.

The first three steps are the same. After opening the update table of contents, check the option of "Update page numbers only", and finally click "OK". This situation will be used when the page number of the table of contents changes after the text content is updated.
