I. Research background

On February 3, 2007, the State Council issued a notice on restricting the production, sale and use of plastic shopping bags nationwide. In response to the government's notice, Wenzhou began to implement the "Plastic Restriction Order" on June 2008 1. The "Plastic Restriction Order" clearly stipulates that the production, sale and use of plastic shopping bags with a thickness of less than 0.025 mm are prohibited within the city; All supermarkets, shopping malls, bazaars and other retail places shall implement the system of paid use of plastic shopping bags, and plastic shopping bags shall not be provided free of charge.

Since the birth of plastic bags, on the one hand, it has brought a lot of convenience to human daily life, but on the other hand, it has also brought a lot of harm to our living environment. Do Wenzhou citizens care about the social problems caused by plastic environmental pollution and white pollution around them? How long will it take for unqualified plastic bags to degrade? How long can environmentally friendly plastic bags degrade automatically? These problems are all problems that we need to explore and study. We hope that through investigation and scientific experiments, we can understand the implementation of the "plastic restriction order" by Wenzhou citizens. Put forward some reasonable suggestions on the rational use of plastic bags, and make a contribution to the environmental protection work in Wenzhou.
