The blind trial process of Shanghai Maritime University is as follows: after the master's degree thesis is finalized, all students who apply for a master's degree defense must take the completed Transfer Form of Shanghai Maritime University's Degree Thesis Evaluation and the Mid-term Follow-up Checklist of Shanghai Maritime University's Postgraduate Thesis and get the "double-blind" sampling identification number from the teaching secretariats of various colleges before the specified deadline; The "double-blind" sampling identification number can only be issued after the teaching secretary confirms that the students are qualified for defense in accordance with the Detailed Rules for the Examination of Doctoral and Master's Degree Awarding in Shanghai Maritime University.

1. After obtaining the identity confirmation number, students log on to the paper net sampling website of Shanghai Education Evaluation Institute, fill in the relevant information such as the degree type correctly, conduct online sampling with the information submitted by the "double-blind" sampling identity confirmation number, and print out whether there is a lottery result.

2. If the results of "double-blind" sampling inspection are included in the list of blind inspection of theses, the bound dissertations (the names of authors and tutors must be hidden) must be submitted to the Academic Degree Office of the Graduate School in triplicate, and those that do not meet the requirements will be returned. Those who have entered the "double-blind" review and have not received the results of the review shall not apply to enter the thesis defense. Only those who have passed the blind examination can apply to enter the thesis defense.

3. Those who are selected for the "double-blind" evaluation of dissertations and pass the evaluation must complete their defense within two months, otherwise they will be postponed to the next batch before being allowed to defend. The results of "double-blind" sampling are not included in the "double-blind" evaluation of students, and their dissertations are reviewed according to the procedures stipulated in the detailed rules for degree awarding.
