School of Computer Science and Technology of Suzhou University, founded in 1984, is one of the earlier computer science and technology departments in Jiangsu Province. In the course of more than 20 years' construction, the college has always adhered to the guiding ideology of "serving the local economy", taking discipline construction as the leading factor, and promoted the development of the college in the aspects of teaching staff construction, scientific research and teaching management. By the academic year of 20 12, the college has had a postdoctoral research station of computer science and technology, two first-class doctoral programs of computer science and technology and software engineering, three first-class master programs of computer science and technology, software engineering, management science and engineering, and two master programs of computer technology and software engineering. At the same time, the college has the key discipline of "Computer Application Technology" and the key laboratory of "Computer Information Processing Technology" in Jiangsu Province. "New technology of computer information processing" is the key construction subject of "2 1 1 engineering" in our school. By the 20 12 academic year, the college has set up six undergraduate majors, namely, computer science and technology, information management and information system, software engineering, network engineering and software engineering (the training direction of embedded software talents) and internet of things engineering. Among them, four undergraduate majors, namely, computer science and technology, software engineering, network engineering and internet of things engineering, are key majors in Jiangsu Province, among which software engineering is the construction point of national specialty and is also included in the education and training plan of outstanding engineers of the Ministry of Education. The college also has computer science and technology, self-taught software engineering and other continuing education majors. In 2008, there were 24 doctoral students, 308 master students, 320 teachers and engineering masters, and 4 full-time undergraduates11.

The college has a strong faculty and a reasonable structure. At present, there are 0/53 faculty members 1 13 full-time teachers, including 2 doctoral supervisors 12, 37 graduate supervisors, 2 graduate supervisors, 22 professors and 4 associate professors (including senior engineers and associate professors)1person. At the same time, the college also hired 15 famous scholars at home and abroad as part-time professors. Among the full-time teachers, there are young and middle-aged experts 1 person who have made outstanding contributions at the national level, 2 young and middle-aged experts who have made outstanding contributions at the provincial level, 2 recipients of special allowances from the State Council, and famous university teachers 1 person in Jiangsu Province, 5 trans-century academic leaders of the "333 Project" in Jiangsu Province and 8 subjects of the "Blue Project" in Jiangsu Province. Object 1 person Full-time teachers publish more than 200 papers in core journals and academic conferences at home and abroad every year, and undertake more than 80 scientific research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation, the doctoral program special fund of the Ministry of Education, and the Jiangsu Natural Science Foundation, and more than 70 horizontal projects.

Moreover, the College has actively expanded foreign exchanges and cooperation, established long-term cooperative relations with universities and research institutes in the surrounding areas, and established friendly exchange relations with universities in the United States, Britain, Canada, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan Province Province and other countries and regions. The college has established teaching practice bases in world-renowned IT enterprises such as Suzhou Industrial Park and Suzhou New District, and also built an practice base in Zhongchuang Software Park in Kunshan Software Park. In addition, all previous graduates of the college have been well received by employers, and the one-time employment rate has always remained above 98%.
