Professor Chen has been engaged in the research and teaching practice of the basic theory of physical education for a long time, and has written a lot in the fields of school physical education and sports principles. In recent years, more than 30 academic papers have been published, among which the research and application of competitive sports textbooks should be emphasized in school physical education, the construction of national fitness and physical education curriculum, the idea of strengthening the construction of national fitness laws and regulations, modern physical education curriculum and its development trend, and the research on the management status and countermeasures of professional football clubs in China have been widely praised. He has published six academic works such as Modern Society and School Physical Education, Principles of Physical Education and Exploration and Practice of Innovative Education, and edited three teaching materials such as Principles and Methods of Physical Education, School Physical Education and Contemporary College Physical Education. As the main person in charge, he has won 2 second prizes for national teaching achievements, 5 first prizes for provincial teaching achievements and 4 first prizes for provincial and ministerial scientific research achievements.
