The origin of "Guanfu"

"Guanfu" comes from the sixteenth chapter of Laozi's Tao Te Ching. The original text is: "be empty, be quiet, be honest, and do everything at the same time. I can see the complex things."

Guanfu museum

Each to his own place, in the final analysis, is static and motionless. It means: reach the pole of emptiness and settle down in deep meditation; Everything in the universe moves and grows with each other, and we can observe their roots. No matter how changeable anything is, it will eventually return to the root. Regression is simply quiet, which is called returning to the original point.

"Observing" means seeing, and "recovering" means over and over again. Only by calming down and carefully observing everything in the world over and over again can we recognize its essence. The "Guanfu" museum got its name from this.

Many media reports such as CCTV, Beijing TV, local TV, Hong Kong Satellite TV Phoenix TV, NHK, China Daily, People's Political Consultative Conference, People's Daily Overseas Edition, Guangming Daily, Beijing Youth Daily, Southern Weekend, Beijing Evening News, China Traditional Newspaper and Hong Kong Ta Kung Pao supported his cultural career.

Ma Weidou's wish is to make the Guanfu Museum socialized and standardized as soon as possible, form a good operating mechanism, and finally hand it over to the society. To do this, we cannot rely solely on the strength of individuals, but must rely on the strength of society. In 2007, Guanfu Museum officially implemented the board system, and 100 directors will jointly contribute to this cultural cause.

Ma Weidou, Han nationality, was born in Beijing, 1955. My ancestral home is Rongcheng, Shandong. He is a member of China Democratic National Construction Association, a collector, the founder and current curator of Guanfu Museum. Ma Weidou used to work in China Youth Publishing House. In more than ten years, he published hundreds of novels and reportage, and published them as collections. Ma Weidou began to collect China's ancient cultural relics in the 1980s, and by the 1990s, his collection had reached a large scale, exceeding 1000 pieces of ceramics, ancient furniture and jade articles. 1992 His book "Ma Shuo Ceramics" is regarded by many readers as the enlightenment of traditional culture. Later, he wrote monographs on appreciation and research of cultural relics, such as Pen Container in Ming and Qing Dynasties, published hundreds of papers on cultural relics in Collectors and Cultural Relics Newspaper, and participated in the compilation of China Snuff Bottle. Ma Weidou's other monograph, Ancient Doors and Windows in China, was published in 2002 and won the first prize of the 6th National Book Award and the 2nd National Excellent Art Book Award. Now I am committed to the research and arrangement of ancient furniture art in China. It has been Ma Weidou's wish for many years to establish Guanfu Museum of Classical Art.. From 1992, Ma Weidou began to conceive this plan and run for it. With the strong support of relevant departments, Guanfu Museum of Classical Art was finally approved to be established in 1996+00.
