The central and eastern part is the southern extension of the low mountains and hills in central and southern Shandong, with undulating hills, more than 30 meters above sea level. The highest point is the North Maling Mountains and Seas, which is 95.8 meters high.
The territory is dominated by plain slopes, with both vast alluvial plains, undulating denuded hills and staggered lake depressions. The lowest point in Xinyi is Zhenjianggou Village in Shijie, with an altitude of11.4m. The terrain is generally high in the northeast and low in the southeast. From high to low, it presents a regular distribution of hills-hills-gentle hills-inclined plains.
