Professor Lu Xiaoyang of our school has devoted himself to the research of computational structural mechanics and computer-aided design for many years. He presided over the research project of "Plastic Forming Theory and Process Equipment of Elbow with Equal Wall Thickness", applied the basic principles of plastic mechanics, put forward a complete and theoretical new method for designing process parameters, and developed the corresponding CAD software system for process parameters. This achievement has been popularized and applied in Jilin Huajian Company, Dalian Quanzhou Petrochemical Pipe Fitting Factory and other units, which has produced remarkable economic and social benefits and won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2002. The research group led by Professor Zhang Xin has long been committed to the research and development of the technology of "whole building translation", and has successively completed the largest engineering projects in China, such as building translation, building rotation translation in situ, and ancient building protection translation. In particular, the project of "Overall Translation of the Office Building of Linyi National Security Bureau" has created three domestic firsts: "the highest height (35m), the longest path (17 1 m) and the fastest speed (3m/h)".
