Administrative level: sub-provincial cities

Jinan has jurisdiction over 6 municipal districts, 1 county-level cities and 3 counties:

Municipal districts: Shizhong District, Lixia District, tianqiao district, Huaiyin District, Licheng District, Changqing District, High-tech Industrial Development Zone.

County-level city: Zhangqiu City;

Counties: Pingyin County, Jiyang County and Shanghe County.

Jinan is an ancient city with a long history. More than 2600 years ago, the city wall was built. The earliest name in the history books is "Dragon" (Chunqiu Zuozhuan), which was named after all the springs in the city merged into dragon water. During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, Jinan was the hometown of Qi. Subsequently, the State of Qi renamed Luoyi as Calendar. 2 100 years ago, the Han Dynasty changed its name to Jinan (Historical Records). Because the land is in the south of the water, it is named. Jinan was founded in 16 BC. BC 154, the country was abandoned and the county was changed. In the third year of Song Dao (AD 997), the whole country was divided into 15 Road, and Jin 'an belonged to JD.COM Road, namely qi zhou (Song History). In the sixth year of Huisong Zhenghe (AD 1 1 16), qi zhou was promoted to Jinan Prefecture, and governed five counties including Licheng. Since Ming and Qing Dynasties, it has been the capital of Shandong Province. Jinan was founded in July, 1929. After the founding of New China, Jinan became the political center of Shandong Province. At present, Jinan is a sub-provincial city approved by the state, and now governs six districts, namely Lixia, Licheng, Huaiyin, Tianqiao, Shizhong and Changqing, Pingyin, Shanghe, Jiyang and Zhangqiu, with a total area of 8,227 square kilometers and a population of about 7 million, including 3.6 million urban residents.

economy

Since the late Qing Dynasty, Jinan has produced the seeds of capitalism. Jinan is the first city in China's modern history that opened its own commercial port (1904) and actively capitalized it. The famous Rui Fuxiang was born here. At the beginning of the 20th century, Ji Jiao Railway and Jinpu Railway built by German met here, which further promoted the prosperity of Jinan. In recent years, on the basis of superior industries such as machinery and textile, steel, chemical industry, light industry, food and building materials, and according to the national industrial policy, Jinan has timely transferred machinery (high-performance, high-value-added mechanical products and metallurgical products), automobiles (advanced heavy-duty cars, modified cars and motorcycles), electric power (new electronic products and high-grade household appliances), chemical industry (modern biomedical chemicals, fine chemicals and chemical fibers). Automobile products represented by Qingqi brand motorcycles, large presses, CNC machine tools and high-grade modified cars, household appliances represented by Xiaoya brand washing machines, and light industrial products represented by Jiangjun brand cigarettes, Baotuquan brand beer, Admiralty brand electronic scales, Fuehrer brand knitwear and Shuanglida brand luggage all occupy a large share in the domestic market. Among them, Xiaoya brand automatic drum washing machine and Qingqi brand motorcycle are well-known brands in China and exported to more than 30 countries and regions overseas. Jinan has become one of the top 50 cities in China with comprehensive economic strength, with an annual industrial added value of 30.94 billion yuan 1998.

natural resource

Taiyuan is rich in mineral resources, mainly including metallic minerals such as iron, manganese, copper, aluminum, lead and zinc, and nonmetallic minerals such as coal, sulfur, gypsum, vanadium, saltpeter, refractory clay, timely, limestone, dolomite and shimeisha. Among mineral resources, coal is the most abundant, followed by iron ore and gypsum. Shanxi is called "coal sea" because it is rich in coal. Taiyuan is located in the middle of the "coal sea". Geologically, the coal deposits in Taiyuan are called "Taiyuan Coal", ranking seventh in the whole province, and are the main components of Shanxi's coal resources. Taiyuan series coal is not only rich in reserves, but also complete in coal types, including coking coal, fat coal, lean coal, lean coal, gas coal and anthracite. Iron ore reserves are abundant and widely distributed, and the main types are sedimentary metamorphic type, contact metasomatism (skarn) type and sedimentary type, while manganese iron ore reserves are less. Gypsum mine is the third largest mineral in Taiyuan, and gypsum is famous all over the country for its excellent texture.

The flora of Taiyuan includes seed plants, ferns, mosses, lichens, algae and fungi, which are characterized by rich plant resources, ancient plant origin and many single genus plants. Many plants have high economic value and a wide range of uses, which provide abundant plant resources for scientific research and economic development in Taiyuan.

Geographical location and administrative division map of Taiyuan City

Taiyuan now governs 6 municipal districts and 3 counties, and manages 1 county-level cities. Namely: yingze district, Xinghualing District, Wanbailin District, jiancaoping district, Jinyuan District, xiaodian district, Qingxu County, Yangqu County, loufan county and Gujiao City, one city, two national development zones (Taiyuan Economic and Technological Development Zone and Taiyuan National High-tech Industrial Development Zone) and two provincial development zones (Taiyuan Industrial Park and Taiyuan Stainless Steel Ecological Industrial Park). There are 22 towns, 6 1 township and 50 sub-district offices. The Municipal People's Government is located in Xinjian Road with a total area of 6,988 square meters. Taiyuan is one of the important industrial bases in the early days of the People's Republic of China. During the first five-year plan period, Taiyuan made great contributions to the national economic construction. At that time, together with Beijing and Tianjin, it was an "industrial town" in North China. Since the end of the 20th century, with the introduction of a series of macro-control policies and new energy and industrial base construction policies, Taiyuan's economic development has ushered in a golden historical opportunity. In the construction of new energy and industrial bases in the province, Taiyuan adheres to the road of new industrialization and undertakes the heavy responsibility of "leading" the adjustment and upgrading of the industrial structure in the province. In recent years, the advantageous industries represented by stainless steel production base, new equipment manufacturing industrial base and magnesium-aluminum alloy processing and manufacturing base have developed well. After more than 50 years of construction, it has formed an industrial system with energy, metallurgy, machinery and chemical industry as the pillars, textiles, light industry, medicine, electronics, food, building materials and precision instruments. In addition, the advantages of scientific research institutions, universities and commercial material supply centers have enabled the national economy to achieve rapid, coordinated and healthy development. The representative enterprises are Taiyuan Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd., the world's largest stainless steel production base; Foxconn Taiyuan Science and Technology Industrial Park, which will become the world's largest magnesium-aluminum alloy processing and R&D base, is under construction. Shanxi Coking Coal Group, the largest major coking coal production base in China; Taiyuan Heavy Machinery Group Co., Ltd. has manufactured the space launcher for lifting "Dongfanghong" and "Shenzhou VII" and the Three Gorges Hydropower Station 1200-ton bridge crane.
