This paper expounds that Lin always adheres to the patient-centered medical ethics, including treating patients with great love, respecting their life dignity, always thinking of patients and being highly responsible for their work.

It is pointed out that social and historical conditions, family education environment, systematic education and training in schools and hospitals and social service activities are the generating logic of Lin's medical ethics thought.

Lin's view of medical ethics provides important time value for solving new situations and problems in medical ethics construction in the new period. In order to further enhance the effectiveness of medical ethics construction in the future, it is necessary to realize the whole process, systematization and demonstration of medical ethics education.

Lin (190165438+February 23rd-65438+April 22nd 0983), born in Xiamen, Fujian, is a physician, medical educator, academician of China Academy of Sciences, director of obstetrics and gynecology of Peking Union Medical College Hospital, and vice president of China Academy of Medical Sciences.

Lin graduated from Peking Union Medical College; 193 1 assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology, Peking union medical college hospital; 1937 Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Peking Union Medical College Hospital; 1940, director of obstetrics and gynecology, Peking Union Medical College Hospital; 1955 was elected as an academician of China Academy of Sciences; From 65438 to 0959, he served as president of Beijing Maternity Hospital and vice president of China Academy of Medical Sciences.

1983 died in Beijing on April 22nd at the age of 82.
