According to the data of HowNet, HowNet does not include undergraduate thesis at present, but only excellent doctoral thesis and periodical submission. HowNet's duplicate checking and comparison database will contain undergraduate thesis data. On the one hand, universities that have cooperative relations with HowNet will upload students' graduation thesis to HowNet, on the other hand, graduation thesis that is checked by HowNet will be automatically included in the comparison database.

China hownet, founded in June 1999, is an academic platform of Tongfang shares controlled by China National Nuclear Corporation Capital Holdings Limited. Hownet is the concept of national knowledge infrastructure, which was put forward by the World Bank in June 1998.
