First, Japan's nuclear polluted water can be discharged into the sea with legal combination boxing.
Ignoring the doubts and objections of neighboring countries and the international community, the Japanese government openly decided to discharge the nuclear polluted water from the Fukushima nuclear power plant into the sea, which aroused great indignation among people in many countries. Undoubtedly, the marine environmental pollution, ecological damage, economic and social impact and human development security caused by this Japanese move will bring difficulties to the western Pacific region including South Korea and China and even the whole world?
Two, Fukushima nuclear pollution water discharge needs legal and scientific response.
Japan's decision to unilaterally discharge nuclear polluted water violates international law, and the international community has the right to make legal responses, including bringing a lawsuit to the International Court of Justice or the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea or requesting interim measures. At the same time, it must come from marine science and biology to prove the impact of nuclear polluted water in Japan on the marine environment and the threat to the interests of all mankind, so as to truly meet the legal requirements of international violations.
3. Where will Japan's nuclear sewage flow?
On 20 1 1 March11,an earthquake measuring 9.0 on the Richter scale occurred in Yang Daping, northeastern Japan, which triggered a tsunami, causing serious damage to the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant and the Tokyo Electric Power Company's Fukushima II nuclear power plant. Afterwards, the Japan Atomic Energy Safety and Security Agency rated the Fukushima nuclear accident as the highest level 7, the same as the Chernobyl nuclear accident.
After the accident, in order to cool the nuclear reactor in the atomic furnace, Fukushima nuclear power plant injected cooling water into the reactor, reaching as much as 150 tons per day. After these cooling waters are polluted by nuclear reactors, there is nowhere to put them. Tokyo Electric Power Company has set up some water tanks nearby to store these nuclear wastewater.
Harm of discharging nuclear sewage:
1. The radioactive substances rich in nuclear sewage may have irreversible effects on the growth, reproduction and ecological balance of marine life.
2, nuclear sewage discharge may lead to the spread of radioactive pollution. Once nuclear sewage enters the ocean, radioactive substances may spread to a wider sea area through ocean currents and food chains, which will have a greater impact on marine ecosystems and coastal communities. This not only poses a threat to the life and health of local residents, but also may affect other areas and become a global environmental challenge.
