Who was the hero during SARS?
Ye Xin, 1956, was born in a medical family in Xuwen, Guangdong. From 65438 to 0996, Ye Xin joined the China * * * Production Party, and was repeatedly rated as "advanced worker", "excellent nurse" and "excellent head nurse".

During her time as head nurse, she studied hard for new knowledge. 1995 "Study on the Application of Nail-yellow Membrane Liquid in the Treatment and Nursing of Bedsore" won the third prize of Guangdong Provincial Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine for Scientific and Technological Progress. Until his death, Ye Xin published 13 papers.

Around the Spring Festival in 2003, an atypical pneumonia with unknown etiology began to prevail in some areas of Guangzhou. Just after the first half of February, the emergency department of Ersha, Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine began to treat patients diagnosed or suspected of SARS, with a maximum of 5 people a day. With the sharp increase of SARS patients and the increasing work intensity of various departments, Ye Xin took the lead in working overtime on February 8th. When she was busy, she even refused to answer her family's phone calls. She just answered the phone nurse and said, "Tell him I'm in class. It's okay."

At noon on March 4th, Ye Xin, who was extremely tired, began to have fever symptoms and was later diagnosed as SARS. On March 25th 1: 30, Ye Xin left her beloved post, comrades-in-arms and relatives forever at the age of 47, less than a week after the patient who was finally rescued in Ye Xin and was also infected with SARS was discharged from the hospital. On the battlefield against SARS, she gave her precious life and was honored as a revolutionary martyr by the Guangdong Provincial People's Government.

On April 16, 2003, Health News published the newsletter "Forever White Warrior-A Record of Ye Xin, Head Nurse of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine", which told the touching story of Ye Xin's tenacious fight against SARS regardless of personal safety.

Ye Xin has gone, but it seems that he has never gone far. Every time I go to Tomb-Sweeping Day, Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine will organize medical staff to visit the tomb of Ye Xin martyrs. In order to carry forward the spirit of Ye Xin, Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine designated March 25th as "Ye Xin Memorial Day".

In addition, Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine holds the theme activity of commemorating Ye Xin and the "Ye Xin Cup" post skill competition every year to promote all medical staff to establish the character of "patient first, love and dedication, unity and cooperation, and sacrifice and dedication".
