At present, video surveillance system has been widely used in public security, military, electric power, campus network and other places. Because of its many technical characteristics, its application fields and solutions have unique characteristics. The network monitoring system is a completely new and complete monitoring system of software and hardware, which is completely based on the computer, with the computer as the core, combined with the actual needs of security monitoring and the constantly improved security theory and experience over the years, using the latest digital video technology, field bus technology and network communication technology. This paper realizes the practical application of video monitoring system through the design scheme of a specific engineering project. This paper first introduces some basic concepts of video surveillance system, and then introduces some related knowledge involved in this system. The third chapter introduces the specific implementation scheme and characteristics of the whole system, and the fourth chapter introduces the basic framework, process and equipment selection of the system in detail. Finally, some related knowledge of network monitoring is briefly introduced.
