1. Open the table for data calculation. As shown in the figure below, we know the achievements of five students in Chinese, mathematics and foreign languages. We need to calculate the total score and average score by formula.
2. Move the cursor to the cell that needs the total score, click the "Table" menu in the menu bar and execute the "Formula" command in the menu. Open the formula dialog box;
3. In the open formula dialog box, the data we want to calculate will be identified by default in the formula, which will generally be identified as sum, as shown below, and the formula will be automatically identified as sum of the data on the left; After clicking OK, the system will automatically calculate the total score. As shown in the figure below;
The formula we just used is =sum(left), which means to sum the data on the left. What if all the data we need are not on the left? In fact, word inherits the formulas and cell methods in excel, and the whole table starts with A and B, while 1, 2 starts to name rows. So we have to calculate the total score of Zhang San 2, and we enter the formula = sum (B3: D3);
We can also use the method of single data parameter to calculate the sum. If you want to calculate the total score of Zhang San 3, you can enter =sum(b4, c4, d4) in the formula column as shown below, or you can calculate the total score.
