Reading The Romance of Gods: Who did Yang Jian fight with?
The Romance of Gods is one of the representative works of China's ancient magical mythological novels, which describes the story of Zhou Wuwang's crusade against fatuous and cruel Shang Zhouwang in the late Shang Dynasty. There are a lot of fairy tales in the story, which are exciting and colorful, and have created a large number of vivid and well-known characters, such as "three-eyed" Yang Jian, "indigenous grandson" who can hide underground, and Nezha with three heads and six arms.

Among them, I think the most wonderful thing is that Lei Zhenzi saved his father. The story mainly tells that Zhou Wang's cronies, Fei Zhong and wandering souls, accepted Xiqiao's benefits and praised Ji Chang in front of Zhou Wang. As soon as Zhou Wang was happy, he let Xibo Hou Jichang go to Chao Ge to receive his reward. Ji Chang knew that Zhou Wang was capricious, afraid that he would go back on his word and fled to Xiqiao overnight. Zhou Wang was furious and sent Yin Ruins and Lei Kai after Ji Chang. At a critical juncture, Ji Chang's hundredth son, Lei Zhenzi, was ordered to come to save his father. Lei Zhenzi's appearance is no different from that of ordinary people. Eating wild fruit by mistake changed him a lot. Not only did he grow a pair of wings, but his skin turned blue, and his mouth became long and sharp, becoming a "bird man". Lei Zhenzi flew to the top of the mountain, swung the golden hoop and smashed the boulder on the mountain. The stone rain fell from the sky, making the merchant soldiers cry and retreat. Ji Chang finally fled back to Xiqiao.

Although the Romance of the Gods is a mythical novel, it is also interspersed with many precious historical materials of ancient China. While enjoying the wonderful fairy tales, we also learned about many historical figures, such as Zhou Wenwang, Zhou Wuwang and Shang Zhouwang. I even learned the truth of governing the country and keeping the country safe, that is, "those who win the hearts of the people will prosper, and those who oppose the hearts of the people will die", which can be described as killing two birds with one stone!
