Optical sensing and new display

Sensing and display technology is the frontier and hotspot of scientific research, and also the core and key of modern information technology. Under the background of global informatization, the realization of new optical sensing technology by using various new electro-optic, acousto-optic and magneto-optical effects, as well as various new display technologies, has become a research hotspot, with obvious characteristics of multi-technology integration and multi-disciplinary support. In this direction, we studied the acquisition and output of information respectively, and formed certain research characteristics, mainly including the following aspects:

Laser and optical fiber micro-nano vibration sensing system

The measurement of micro-nano amplitude vibration signals has important application requirements in the research fields of MEMS (micro-electromechanical system), MOEMS (micro-electromechanical system) and NOEMS (nano-electromechanical system), as well as in the fields of bridge operation monitoring, aircraft vibration detection in aerospace, public safety monitoring and military technical reconnaissance. With the stable support of relevant national ministries, we have long been committed to the fidelity pickup of micro-nano amplitude vibration signals based on the principle of optical interference. A new method based on 1/8 wave plate to generate orthogonal interference light path and estimate micro-vibration amplitude by Lissajous pattern is proposed. A series of laser and optical fiber micro-nano vibration sensing systems have been developed, which have been successfully applied to public safety and other fields and have obvious social benefits. Related research results have obtained 2 invention patents, applied for 2 national defense invention patents, and published papers 13 in optical communication and other magazines.

Infrared imaging and sensing technology

In order to monitor and optimize the actual effect of industrial electric furnace, the application research of photoelectric monitoring methods such as infrared thermal imaging and spectral analysis in monitoring the thermal effect of materials in the furnace, analyzing the composition of materials and the atmosphere in the furnace has been carried out, and the key technologies such as high temperature protection, strong electromagnetic interference resistance, information identification, extraction and output have been broken through, thus making a breakthrough in developing special thermal imaging and spectral analysis equipment for industrial electric furnace based on low-cost photoelectric sensors, which is conducive to the popularization and application of technical achievements. In 2008, together with Maanshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., it undertook the national "863" key project "Research and development of high-speed EMU wheels".
