Correct format of annotations of English references
Its format is: monographs, papers, dissertations and reports-[serial number] Principal. The title of literature. Place of publication: publisher, year of publication. Page number (optional).

There are some differences between English papers and Chinese papers, especially some items that need to be marked, such as references and authors' signatures, which are quite different from Chinese papers. The most common citation formats of foreign documents are MLA in humanities (such as literature or language) and APA in social sciences (such as psychology or pedagogy).

According to the current regulations, the labeling of academic journals' references adopts the sequential coding system, that is, the citations in the paper are continuously coded with Arabic numerals in the order in which the cited documents appear in the paper, and the serial numbers are placed in square brackets. If the same document is repeatedly cited in an article, it shall be marked with the same serial number. This provision makes the listed documents concise and clear, which should attract the attention of the author of the paper.

Example:

Day, c, Veen, D.van and amp children and adolescents at risk and urban education. Research, policy and practice. Leuven/Appeldorn: Garang. 1997.

Journal articles-[serial number] Principal. The title of literature. Title, year, volume (issue): page number.
