Abstract: the safety consciousness of a country's citizens is related to the safety of the whole country. As the main body of national high-level talents, college students' national security awareness has a more direct impact on national security. Therefore, it is very important to reasonably determine the strategies to cultivate college students' national security awareness.

This paper studies the cultivation strategy of college students' national security consciousness, and puts forward that the cultivation of college students' national security consciousness should focus on strengthening "five cognitions" and deepening "five consciousnesses", so as to continuously improve the cultivation effect of college students' national security consciousness.
