The English Department was founded in 1938 with a long history and a mellow academic atmosphere. Mr. Qian Zhongshu, who is a master of Chinese and Western medicine, was the first dean, and famous scholars such as Xu Yanmou, Luo, Liu Zhongde and Zhao taught here successively. The English department has a four-year undergraduate education system and has three major directions: English education, English translation and business English.
