Eduard buchner (German: eduard buchner,1860 May 20th-1917 August 13), a German chemist, won the Nobel Prize in chemistry for his discovery of cell-free fermentation 1907, and was praised as a "genius chemist from a peasant background". 1917 August 13 died of war wounds in Munich.

He lived a frugal life with his family. 1884 studied chemistry with Adolf von Baer at Munich University, and then with Emile Fischer at Genn-Nuremberg University in Herun. 1885, he published his first paper, The Effect of Oxygen on Fermentation. 1888 received his doctorate from the University of Munich. After that, he continued to be an assistant to Professor Bayer for five years. Eduard buchner's research process from 65438 to 0896, because he closely combined the activity of yeast cells with the chemical action of enzymes, greatly promoted the development of microbiology, biochemistry, fermentation physiology and enzyme chemistry, and opened a new page of microbial metabolism. He extracted enzyme (alcoholase) from yeast and made it into dry powder, which was used to decompose sugar into carbon dioxide and alcohol. This is of great significance to the later sugar industry and wine industry. The middle-aged story of Buchner Funnel invented by Edward Buchner ranges from 1896 to 1898, and from 1909 to breslau University, and from191kloc-0/to Wü rzburg University. During the First World War, Buchner went to the Romanian frontline battlefield hospital as a doctor. On August 3, 2007, he was injured and returned to Germany, and died in Munich 1965438.
