Banqiao is located in the north of Longyang District, Baoshan City, Yunnan Province, 5 kilometers away from the urban area. After Baoshan changed to the city, the original Baoshan County became Longyang District. Banqiao is one of the political, economic and cultural centers in Longyang District. Historically, it was an important post station of the "Silk Road" in ancient South China. 200 1 is listed as a "provincial historical and cultural town". Known as "the smoke and willow in the northern Jin Dynasty", "the ancient crossing of plum blossoms" and "the country of literature", it is a big market in the western region. Donghe, the largest river in Baoshan Dam, runs through Banqiao from north to south. At the southern end of Donghe River, in the first year of Guangxu reign in Qing Dynasty, Beijin Bridge was renovated and converted into a pavilion, with weeping willows on both sides and smoke curling up. It was called "Beijin Ada" and the scenery was pleasant. During the Eastern Han Dynasty, the East River was wide, and pedestrians had to rely on "boating or wooden boats to ferry", hence the name "Meihua Gudu".
Qinglong Street is the central street of Banqiao Ancient Town. During the reign of Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty, Banqiao Street suffered frequent fires, and the residents volunteered to donate money to build Kuixing Pavilion to cut off the fire source. And tied Qinglong Street to play, "Use dragons (water) to control fire." From then on, "Qinglong Street" became the name of Banqiao Street.
Qinglong Street is 800 meters long and 7.2 meters wide. The streets are paved with bluestone slabs and deeply embedded with a series of horseshoe-shaped prints. Most of the buildings on both sides are small, wide and deep, with front shops and back houses. Houses and households share beams and columns, and some borrow beams and columns against the wall, with double cornices. Simple in shape and well preserved so far.
From the Western Han Dynasty to the Republic of China, ban qiao gradually formed a regional commodity processing and distribution center. "Feng Jia has a street every five days, and about 40 thousand people enter the market, which is the highest in the county" and "western market". Dexing, Sanhe, Shou Chang, Jingyuan, Wenji, Gui Xiang Building, Zhilanxuan and other halls, shops, shops, paving and hanging pavements. There are so-called "the top of ten thousand families, the silver of the Ma family, the brand of Zhao family, the cake of Ge family, the steamed stuffed bun of Dong family, the restaurant of Ding family" and "Banqiao rice noodles". Nowadays, the "Zhilanxuan" and "Gui Xiang Building" which operate cakes have their own merits, antique tea shops come and go, nail palm shops with complete equipment convey the busy caravan in the past, Wu's shoe store attracts the attention of many passers-by, and gold and silver jewelry shops, horse stacks, stone carvings and other shops are still blooming in Qinglong Street.
The Wanshi Ancestral Temple next to Qinglong Street records the glorious history of Banqiao Wanjia. The ancestral hall compound was built in Wanli period at the end of Ming Dynasty, with a history of more than 300 years. Covering an area of 1500 square meters, there are six courtyards, all paved with bluestone. The front hall is majestic and the roof is opposite. In the center of Baoding Town, Lotus, the left and right ears correspond to the front wall, forming a square patio. There are dozens of peony flowers in more than 90 years, and one osmanthus tree in more than 200 years. The sweet-scented osmanthus fragrance in autumn adds a bit of ancient style.
Qinglong Street Protection and Development Project, with an estimated investment of 50 million yuan. Through the reconstruction and expansion, the total length reached 875 meters, and the dangerous buildings along the street were rebuilt, so that Qinglong Street reappeared the bustling scene of Gu Lou, shops and merchants.
