I really want to think that there was an article about diligence in last year's Reader magazine, which is a more objective counterexample of diligence. I forgot the name of the article, but I remember a sentence. Sometimes diligence is not the only way to cast an iron rice bowl, and innovation is the forever tumbler! Look for that article.
