The college has always adhered to the educational-oriented, teaching-centered tenet, constantly strengthened the reform and practice of education and teaching, and constantly enriched and improved the conditions for running schools. Two research achievements won the second prize of provincial teaching achievement and six school-level teaching achievement prizes. Since 2003, many students have won the first, second and third prizes for outstanding undergraduate thesis (design) in Jiangsu Province for six consecutive years. Since 2003, it has been funded by the Central Ministry of Finance for five consecutive years, with a total investment of100000 yuan.

The college has made remarkable achievements in talent training. The passing rate of CET-4, computer pass rate, graduation rate, degree rate, postgraduate entrance examination rate and employment rate of three consecutive graduates are among the best in the whole school, and the graduation rate, degree awarding rate and employment rate of all previous graduates are among the best in the whole school.
