I. Discipline Overview The discipline of bridge and tunnel engineering belongs to the first-class discipline of civil engineering. Cultivate senior professionals in bridge structural design theory and engineering construction, and be competent in teaching, scientific research, engineering technology development and management. At present, it mainly carries out research work on bridge structure design theory, research and development and application of composite bridge, design analysis and control of tunnel engineering. The research direction of this discipline is based on solving major technical problems in the design and construction of large bridges and tunnels. In recent years, taking the Institute of Road and Bridge Engineering and the Bridge Engineering Laboratory as the teaching and research bases, the discipline construction pays attention to the combination of Industry-University-Research, and undertakes a number of major key technology research projects of large-scale bridges and tunnels, which has achieved good economic and social effects in practical engineering applications. Second, the main research direction 1. Composite structure bridges mainly carry out the development and research of new composite structure bridges. The main research contents in this direction include: (1) the development and design method of mixed beam structure of steel beam and reinforced concrete beam; (2) Research on the development and design method of rigid joint connection between steel beam and reinforced concrete pier; (3) Study on mechanical properties of lightweight high-strength concrete filled steel tube. 2. With the development of urban modernization, the transportation network plays an increasingly important role in the earthquake-resistant and disaster-prevention system of the whole city lifeline. As a transportation hub, the seismic research of bridge engineering has been paid more and more attention. This research direction mainly focuses on the nonlinear theoretical research of seismic design of foundation bridges. Among them, the bridge seismic design mainly includes: risk decision of engineering seismic design standard and fortification target, dynamic concept design, displacement-based design, isolation design, performance-based design and effective bridge seismic measures research. 3. Structural design theory of urban subway and tunnel With the progress and development of society, the construction of urban subway and tunnel will be paid more and more attention. But it inevitably brings great influence to the surrounding environment, residents and adjacent buildings. This direction will focus on the impact of urban subway and tunnel construction on the surrounding environment and practical countermeasures. Especially for noise, vibration and groundwater treatment in the construction process, a new tunnel structure with simple construction and little impact on the environment is developed, and the design theory of the new tunnel structure is established through the combination of simulation experiment and theoretical analysis. Three. At present, there are 6 teachers in the discipline, including 3 professors, 1 associate professors and 2 lecturers. Four. Scientific research conditions and achievements The discipline of bridge and tunnel engineering has good experimental conditions. The laboratory has three-dimensional pseudo-dynamic hydraulic servo experimental system, multi-channel dynamic resistance strain testing system and other advanced experimental equipment, 50 tons of dynamic and static universal testing machine for structural materials and 50 tons of high-precision actuators produced by MTS company in the United States. Large-scale automatic control artificial climate environment simulation laboratory, drop hammer laboratory and other projects will be completed in July 2005. This discipline has undertaken a number of national and provincial scientific research projects, with abundant scientific research funds, and achieved remarkable results in participating in major projects such as bridges and subways in Jiangsu Province. V. Personnel Training Bridge and Tunnel Engineering is a newly established discipline. At present, it has the authorization of doctoral and master's degrees in this major. Excellent personnel training conditions, experimental conditions and computer equipment required for graduation thesis work are complete. Since 2004, the first batch of seven postgraduate students majoring in bridges and tunnels have been enrolled. The development prospect of intransitive verbs; the main research direction of bridge and tunnel engineering is stable, with outstanding characteristics, obvious advantages and remarkable scientific research achievements. In recent years, great attention has been paid to the integration of Industry-University-Research, and scientific research has been closely integrated with the needs of economic construction and social development, and efforts have been made to make important contributions to national and local economic construction.
