General rule
The National Steering Committee for Professional Degree Education of Master of Translation pointed out in the Training Program for Full-time Postgraduates with Professional Degree in Translation (see No.23 Document of Academic Degree Office [2009]) that the goal of MTI education is to train high-level, applied and professional interpreters and translators. MTI education attaches importance to practical links and emphasizes the cultivation of translation practical ability. Full-time MTI enrolls students with a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) from a national education sequence university, and has a good bilingual foundation.
According to the Guiding Training Scheme for Full-time Translation Postgraduates and the spirit of Document No.22 issued by the Ministry of Education [2009], the Outline of Entrance Examination for Full-time Translation Postgraduates is hereby formulated.

First, the purpose of the exam
The purpose of this examination is to comprehensively examine candidates' comprehensive bilingual (foreign language, mother tongue) ability and bilingual translation ability. Admissions institutions select candidates for re-examination according to their scores in this examination and the total score of political theory (500 points out of * * *), and refer to the national unified admission scores.
Second, the nature and scope of the examination.
This examination is the national entrance qualification examination for translation masters. Except the first unit "Political Theory" 100, the professional examination is divided into three parts, namely the second unit "Master of X Language Translation" (including English, French, Japanese, Russian, Korean and German) and the third unit "Basic Translation of X Language" (including English and Chinese). Third, the basic requirements of the exam
1. Have a good basic knowledge of foreign languages and master more than 6,000 foreign positive words.
2. Have good bilingual expression and conversion ability and potential.
3. Have a certain background knowledge of Chinese and foreign culture, politics, economy and law. Strong writing ability with modern Chinese as the mother tongue (a language).
Fourth, the examination time and proposition
It is held on June 5438+ 10 every year, in synchronization with the national postgraduate entrance examination. According to the outline of this examination, the proposition group of MTI qualification examination in each enrollment institution is independently responsible for the proposition and implementation with reference to the requirements of foreign language examination outline and sample questions of master of translation, basic course examination of X language translation and basic course examination of Chinese writing and encyclopedia knowledge.
