I. Network requirements and design objectives
1, user network status
There are 280 information points in the computer network of Guangzhou middle school campus network, including 100 on the sixth floor of audio-visual education building, 60 on the third floor of office building, 60 on the sixth floor of high school teaching building, 40 on the sixth floor of junior high school teaching building, 10 on the sixth floor of experimental building and 10 on the third floor of library building. The network center computer room is located on the fourth floor of the audio-visual education building. The main wiring room of the central computer room is connected to the wiring room of office building, junior/senior high school teaching building, experimental building and library through six-core outdoor multimode optical fiber. The server is directly connected to the central switch through gigabit network cards and fiber jumpers. The backbone of the network is gigabit optical fiber. Each microcomputer workstation is connected to the desktop switch through over five pairs of unshielded twisted-pair UTP, and the adaptive speed is10/100 m.
2. Functional requirements of network system
The requirements of the network system include the following aspects:
L stability requirements of network equipment
Network equipment should adopt mature circuit design technology and reliable electronic components. In the process of network design, current standards should be considered, but unformed technologies should not be considered.
L Requirements for making emergency plans in advance for possible network emergencies or failures.
Corresponding early warning and alarm measures and remote error detection and repair functions after the accident. It is also necessary to make full use of network resources to meet the needs of users' analysis and provide business decisions for enterprises, and it is necessary for the network to provide a flexible networking scheme that is logically separated and physically enjoys platforms and transmission lines. From the perspective of system security and performance, LAN should be separated from wide-area transmission platform. Local area network supports VLAN function, divides resources and addresses according to users' departments and institutions, and sets up the strategy mechanism of routing between different VLANs. As a transmission platform, WAN will provide data transmission services for all users, but for efficient business data, the priority of business can be properly planned to ensure the safety and reliability of information transmission.
L requirements for supporting virtual local area network technology
In the current LAN environment, the workstation is connected to the port of a specific device, so the available functions of the device can correspond to the functions in the physical network predefined by the network administrator for security or access to resources. If the user reassigns, the network administrator must assign a characteristic value that meets the user's needs to the new physical port. Because kinship grouping is usually used as a method to manage the network, users need to be reassigned to different physical ports when the workgroup is reorganized. In a traditional LAN, if all or part of similar data packets are to be transferred to different buildings, the network administrator may need to make physical changes (filter tables or establish mutual links) to maintain the previous functions. By implementing virtual local area network (VLAN), users can belong to several similar packet merging services, regardless of their physical location in the network. In a LAN environment, your work partner is more important than your work place. Flexible support for virtual networks on local area networks can ensure that users are assigned to the same virtual local area network, regardless of their physical location. Because the virtual LAN does not need the intervention of network managers or the help of technicians when starting and allocating LAN ports, it can save money in the ever-changing environment.
