The Yuan Dynasty was an empire established by Mongols. The culture and living habits of nomadic people are quite different from those of the Central Plains. However, the Mongols are the rulers of the society, and their mainstream aesthetic style will inevitably influence and transform the furniture in the Song Dynasty. Because the Yuan Dynasty was less than a hundred years old, it had little influence on folk furniture. The main features of furniture in Yuan Dynasty are: weight, widespread use of Luo Guojian, the appearance of leg-stretching table and overlord sword, decoration with lines such as cloud head, pearl and Japanese horn, large-scale furniture with complex carvings.
